A phone to Bond with!
A version of this phone stars in Casino Royale, the latest Bond movie, and, in fact, you can get a "special" consumer version of the Bond phone e.g. it has Bond themed wallpaper and ringtones etc. However, for those of us with more mundane lives the "normal" version of the K800i can serve us well too - it is an effective phone with a high quality display, good reception and a wide choice of settings/profiles. Importantly, it is easy to navigate and quickly becomes intuitive. As a bonus the camera is superlative and could enable you to get that "once in a lifetime" shot by virtue of the fact you're more likely to have your phone than a camera with you, and, the quality of the phone's camera - 3.2 megapixel, anti-shake and autofocus. It also plays MP3s admirably, although, thanks to the unique SE connector, you can only use the in-ear phones supplied with the K800i.Overall, a lovely phone, if I had to pick holes - it uses a Micro Memory -Stick which is likely to introduce yet another format of memory card into your life, and the battery life, although good, is not the best I have experienced. To me buying a phone is like choosing a friend - get it wrong and you'll be let down - but have no worries here this one's a winner.

One of the best phones ever invented!!
Seriously awesome phone. I can't fault it, you can sync it with blue tooth and control your computer and media player with it. The only trouble is after some time the charger slot doesn't work so well. Mine broke and i got more modern phones, all have been a let down compared to this beauty! If only they had individual text tones for contacts i would never get a different phone. Friends tell me other ericssons after have been a let down in comparison. Defo the Schwarzenneger of the phone world. It even works under water! (ok i've not tried it under water but it probably does). It's also sturdy enough to use as a weapon should a foolish attacker try it.GET THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!

Still a quality phone
Even 7 months after the release of the phone in the UK, the phone still sits near the top of the range for camera phones. Without meaning to repeat what all the other reviews say, the pictures are brilliant. There's no question about it - if you want to capture the moment, this will do the job. Even a 2MP camera does the job properly, although it would probably not satisfy the quality junkie quite as much as this phone does. The camera lens cover is a great feature, in that you don't have to worry about the lens being damaged. Every so often, the cover can slide off in your pocket (activating the camera) and suck battery life. One of the other few downsides is the occasionally sluggish menu. This is barely a reason not to buy this phone though, and considering the price that it can be bought at now, I would regard it as a definate purchase for anyone whose main reason for buying a phone is for the camera. It is loaded with user friendly features and is in my opinion fairly robust (although does show up the scratches after several months). Be sure to buy an M2 memory stick though (1-2GB) to be able to store more pictures and music.

Great Phone.. Still
Have just brought this phone after losing my Samsung D900i on holiday, and this phone has lived up to expectation. The phone is bulky compared to the D900, but not a big problem at all. The camera is brilliant, and the music player is surprisingly good quality. The phone is also customizable with themes and such. Keypad is also easy to use. One thing I would like to have improved is the battery life, but its long enough and I charge frequently so not a big problem either.Overall this is a recommended phone, especially at this price!!

loved it
i fell in love with this phone as soon as i opened the box, the pictures dont do it justice. the sliding lens cover is a good idea however on the first handset i bought the cover on the inside of the lens malfunctioned and did not open.the camera is brilliant even for sports pictures and the multi shot application is good, seemingly begining to take the photos before you take the picture.comes with software to synchronise with your PC and a handy programme that compresses songs for you so you can fit more on (not necessary if you buy the 2gb sd card).however, after having owned the second phone for 2 months the 'take' button for the camera stopped working, stopping you from being able to use the autofocus and making the the 'push to picture' time about two seconds, not good. also, as with previous sony-ericsson phones i have owned, the joystick had begun to play up.finally, having had it in my pocket during a thirty minute rain shower, some moisture managed to get into the the screen, rendering it useless and me left to go back to the trusty nokia 3310.so to sum up, a fantastic phone with all the features needed to wow friends and workmates but just remember to be careful with it as it is not the most robust phone in the world. and please get it insured
