Red/Black Polarity Reversed
These were to be used with a rechargeable NiMH battery pack likely built to industry standards having the same connector. However, these cables were assembled with the red and black wires reversed compared to the positions used by the battery pack.

I wish I had read all the reviews
The person who mentioned the reversed color coding of the insulation got it right. I can’t imagine how the manufacturer messed this up so badly. These are easy to connect, but hard to disconnect.

Actual item is 1/10 the size of pictured item. Also i wanted to return but. The cost of return has made me decide to forget about it.
