Carrying case, decent soldering iron, and lots of accessories for a great price
I purchased this for a project that required electronics. I have used several soldering irons over the past few years, and this was comparable to most of them at a much lower price. The soldering iron heats quickly and it has an adjustable dial for temperature. It is lightweight, a very simple design. This kit also comes with an incredibly amount of accessories that I probably will never use. There are multiple soldering tips, wire covers, red and black wires, pliers, solder, etc. just to name a few. The stand works well, the wet sponge is good for cleaning off excess solder, so far everything works. It isn't a fancy kit, but it works perfectly fine so far. Depending on the durability of the soldering iron, it will be a good kit that fulfills my needs.

For the price, CAN’T BE BEATEN
I bought this cheap soldering iron for some small DIY projects, and it's been pretty decent for the price. It heats up quickly and gets the job done for basic soldering tasks. I’ve used it on a few circuit boards and wires, and it works well enough for those simple jobs. The build quality is okay. It doesn’t feel super sturdy, but it hasn’t fallen apart on me either. The handle does get a bit warm after a while, so be careful if you’re using it for extended periods. It’s really easy to use, even if you’re new to soldering. Just plug it in, let it heat up, and you’re ready to go. The cord could be a bit longer, but it’s manageable. For the price, this soldering iron is a good deal. Don’t expect professional quality, but for occasional or hobby use, it’s a solid choice. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly soldering iron for basic tasks, this one is worth considering. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank.

Nice soldering kit
I have been using this soldering iron on an electric guitar project. So far its been great, much better than the blue light special I've been using. I have not used much of the other tools, so I can't speak for them. As the description claims it does heat and cool fast. It allows for very precise soldering of fine (read tiny) components. I tried to use the provided stand, but I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to go together. Something's missing..After fiddling with it for 5 minutes, I decided to move on and use my ancient and falling apart helping hands. The solder sucker works, but you need to get all the way in there for it to be effective. Its plastic so every time I'm a little nervous using that thing. You know, iron in one hand, solder sucker in the other and trying not to start a fire. The iron itself is unique, I've never had one quite like it. If you turn the dial all the way down, it says "off" However it is NOT off, but more of a stand by state. This is good. You can turn it up all the way and it heats quickly. When you are idle, you can turn it down so the tip is not turning into charcoal. After you're done it takes about 45 minutes to cool enough to put in the bag. Just the way it is. Pros: great price, surprisingly quality soldering iron. Nice kit. Cons: Some unnecessary and odd extra tools thrown in. I am not sure that I would use jewelers screwdrivers on anything I'm soldering. Would have preferred a solid stand or helping hands. Still, for the money I recommend it.

I'm super impressed!
I bought this on a whim when trying to repair a set of earbuds I absolutely love. I can't find this type anywhere anymore. I bought a different kind but they were making me mad, so I decided to see what was up with the old pair. I managed to get it open but the wires to the right ear were busted clean off. While trying to fiddle with them, one of the left ear wires broke off. Ugh! I was just going to try and tape them down, but that ended up being a foolish idea. So, I quickly researched a soldering iron and picked this one. I was extremely apprehensive at first, worried I would burn myself or something else. I have a heat mat I bought and that made things a bit safer. I also bought some soldering rosin, and used it, though I don't know if it ultimately did anything or not. The extra fine tip was great for the tiny job, and the tweezers were a very nice inclusion as well. It was still extremely hard to work on this tiny circuit board and the solder didn't work as I originally thought it would. Still, somehow, I managed to clean up and reattach the connections without burning myself, the earbuds, or anything around me, albeit with many, many starts, stops, and restarts. I do have to say, the holder kept falling over so I don't know if I was using it right or what. It seemed too light to support the weight, and the coils were too large to hold the iron properly. The solder vacuum also didn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if it is because the amount of solder and the thing I was trying to clean up was so small though. In the end I didn't use either of these things, though they were part of what sold me on this set. The cord was very sturdy but a little too rigid and short, which caused the iron to move around when placed down. That was a little nerve-wracking as I didn't want it to fall off the table or the mat and burn something. However, a little extra time to make sure it was not going to move was fine. I really appreciated the general tools including in the set though. The sponge was very instrumental in cleaning the tip, the solder of course was a necessity, and the solder wick was so-so at helping out in removing the old solder. I'm a novice, so it might be user error as well. The gun itself is well made, and being able to change the temperature was nice. It cooled down extremely quickly, all told, and I was able to pack everything up but the sponge in a couple hours. Great little tool kit, especially for the price! I can't see myself using it that often, but given that it definitely won't break the bank and I have it for when I need it, and that it potentially will save me buying replacement electronics, it was a perfect purchase.

Everything you need in a pinch.
My father taught me to solder when I was 3. I have plenty of top-of-the-line Weller products, etc. But it's summer, and I find myself on vacation, and in real need of soldering just a couple of wires to fix something important. Everything you need is here, and not overly expensive. 60W may be just a little on the low side -- especially considering that the govt is forcing us to use inferior lead-free solder -- but it works great in a pinch. Solder-tinning the soldering iron tips is a problem -- as it always is with low-end soldering irons. And especially now that the govt is forcing us to use inferior higher temperature lead-free solder. Why they can't plate the same finish on the cheap tips as the good ones, I'll never know. But if you are prepared for that -- and are maybe ready to polish the tip with some kind of brush before heating and tinning it the first use -- this kit can do anything you need in a pinch. I thought their including a desoldering tool was overkill... but it turns out I needed it, even though I thought I wouldn't. This kit even comes with a tiny piece of proto-board, and some copper braid. If, e.g., you were, say, in a military situation and trapped somewhere and needed to add in a couple of ICs in a secret circuit, this kit has absolutely everything you need. It's kind of like a sewing kit for the road for electronics people. I highly recommend it for quick fixes in the field anywhere Amazon delivers.
