Small package big sound.
Jamo Studio Series S 810 Sub woofer was purchased to replace a Polk Audio PSW10 because it can fit into a smaller space. Overall I'm pretty happy with the sound. I don't crank my system and play loudly as I listen mostly to jazz but there are those occasions where I need just a little more bottom to fill out the sound a little. These are not being used to watch movies; music only. They work wonderfully for that and can get quite loud if you prefer things that way. The build quality is very nice with the exception of the mounting pins for the speaker grill, if you're not careful when removing the grill you can easily break them off. There are other comments here about the location of the controls are in an inconvenient location at the bottom of the unit. Not sure where those folks expected it to be at if you are purchasing a unit whose design is intended to allow it to fit in spaces where other traditional cube shaped subs cannot fit. You have basically 4 directions you can place or direct this sub, one side of which is the speaker grill, which would be limited to 3 if the controls where on one of the sides. My only issue and it is a small issue is that the included audio cable is a bit flimsy but I'll pick up a better quality right angled one or adapter when I get around to it. Everything works well and it does not detract from the sound of my main speakers and it looks great in the corner where I placed it. Compared to the previous Polk Audio PSW10, this sub sounds better with a tighter less boomy response. By the way, it is made by Klipsch.

Great Budget Subwoofer
The controls on the bottom could be something to consider, I was able to set it and adjust output through the avr. The bass response is not the best for music, this is not an "audiophile" subwoofer but it does get the job done. Works great in the family room surround setup for movies. For the cost of this sub, actually every part of this Jamo line, the performance far outweighs the cost. We have the S809 fronts, S83 center, and S801s for surround duty. The WAF is great, she loves the looks and I catch her using it when I'm not home, which I think is great. If you're looking for a subwoofer around this price you will not be disappointed. FYI, Jamo is owned by Klipsch if you didn't already know.

It's fine for the budget and application.
It's okay. More muddy than punchy, but the price and size are unique and it is an okay value for what I needed: a small sub that I could use with some powered studio monitors. Pretty steep fall of below 40Hz and not especially good bass control. Other Klipsch subs sound much better but have bigger overall volume and take up more space. It's nice to have the crossover control on the back. The amp seems fine for the task. I didn't really evaluate its claimed 150W, but that might be into a pretty low impedence load. It gets loud enough, just becomes more dull at higher volumes, and I equalized it for a flat EQ setup with my monitors, so it's really just filling in from 40-100 Hz. If you have physical space, consider a different subwoofer, including other Klipsch subs that sound much more precise, especially at lower frequencies. Workmanship and appearance are good for the price.

Great Bass sound and value for a small room
I needed this to round out my sound for my home office (converted bed room) I was running two Jamo's S 803 bookshelf speakers and a center channel. Just needed a bass to round it out. This item was perfect for my setup. Very easy to hook up, comes with all the cords , nice looking and seems well made. Can't say it would be optimal for a huge space but for a regular room (14X10) room it is more than adequate. i think it sounds great. Really happy with all the Jamo speakers would highly recommend.

Best budget Sub i've owned
This sub is exactly what I was looking for - something small/slim and I could fit easily next to my TV stand without sticking out past my wall. For the money, the sound out of this sub is a huge value. Having owned a few high end SVS subs, I won't say it compares to those - but honestly beat any expectations I had at this price point. I currently have this paired with my Sennheiser Ambeo sound bar and they compliment each other perfect. Nice boomy bass with good control. One suggestion I would make, purchase a 4 pack of Soundrise Dome Isolation pads and use those instead of the generic rubber feet included. If you are using it on a hard floor like me, this will prevent floor/wall rumbling and keep the bass tighter...a big improvement once I put those on over the included ones.

Great sub, poor grill design (and seller response)
I am very happy with the subwoofer itself. Great component to the rest of the Jamo setup I have. Great bass without sounding booming. Only complaint is the grill cover. When the item arrived the grill was not attached to the base. There are tiny pegs used to hold in place t each corner. Whereas the rest of the Jamo speakers have magnets. One of the pegs was broken off and no where to be found. I contacted the seller and was told ‘well, just glue it back on’ First, can’t find the broken part to glue it back on, second: that’s customer service? I asked for a replacement grill and was told sorry, they don’t do that. Then offered 5$ refund.. I laughed at that point as this was absurd. Never did get that ‘refund’ So, watch where the items you order come from is my lesson learned.
