SpeckProducts Presidio Grip + Glitter iPhone Xs Max Case, Bella Pink with Gold Glitter/Dahlia Peach (117107-6832)

24 May 2019This case ended up being too thin for my hand so I bought, and am using, an Otterbox Defender case. I, however, kept this case due its being absolutely gorgeous. I can’t part with it. The dusty rose-gold glitter is a work of art. I now have the case, sans iPhone, on my kitchen counter so whenever I see it, it is like an angel cheering me up. Thank you, Speck, for this awesome — if accidental — work of art!——-This review is based on first impressions. I just got the case. I have used it for all two days.• In device cases, I go for function first. All my cases must be grippy. If a case doesn’t pass the grip-test, I return it or give it to GoodWill. This case is VERY grippy. The diagonal lines you see in the images are located in perfect places for the hand to grasp. The case is nearly as grippy as my MarBlue ToughTek or Amzer Silicone skin gel cases, and you can’t get grippier than that. There is no way this phone will slip out of my hand!• A friend turned me onto the virtues of the color “rose.” The “dusty rose” of this case is pleasant, restful, meditative, serene. (Pinks I find disgusting are garrish, hot pinks. Yuck.)• This same friend turned me onto the virtues of glitter. This case is sparkly. I love its glitteryness. Between the rose and glitter, it is such an upbeat case. Ever the tomboy, if you asked me a year ago if I would ever get a rose + glitter in a device case, I would have said, “Are you out of your mind?” I call this “a princess case.” It feels so Tinkerbell. I can picture Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle using it!• When I am not using the phone, I turn it over on its face. The bezel keeps the glass off the table. Again: perfect.• I like that the phone itself has heft — it has a solid feel. The case itself is pretty lightweight (I disagree with other reviewers who say this is a heavy case).• The only recommendation I have is that the manufacturer offer this case in additional colors: dusty sage green, dusty gold, dusty lavender, or french blue.• A question about a comment of another user: What would corners of this type of case generally-crack? Does she drop the phone a lot? Being I always get grippy, protective cases (no frou frou), for all devices I have owned over fifteen years, I have dropped one device only once.) Just sayin’.The following negative is not a function of this particular case. Cell/mobile phones are getting thinner over time — they have reached the point of being TOO THIN and are uncomfortable held in a hand. The iPhone Xs Max is too thin. What happens when a phone is too thin is that the phone digs into the fleshy parts of the hand and causes pain. I would have loved if this case had added more bulk to the thickness/depth to this model phone, similar to the bulk afforded by an Otterbox Defender.• Do I recommend this case? You betcha. (If something goes wrong with the case, like it somehow doesn’t last five years, I will amend this review.)

Really pretty 😍, but came with a crack near the power button. Also very thin, I’m going to have to buy a screen protector. Will not be bothering with returning this because I don’t want to deal with all that over a tiny crack.Update- I did bother with the returning process and the replacement they sent was perfect! No damages and looks amazing 🤩 I love how sparkly it is.Update-Jan 30,2022 I’ve had this case for a while now and will be replacing soon but this is definitely worth it! Has done a great job at protecting my phone and it lasted me 2 years. This case has definitely held up to the abuse I put it through 😅. Definitely would recommend. Ps you’ll still need a screen protector.

This is a great phone case, my phone has been dropped by my two year old a couple times with no issue. The case is cute and the gripper sides are great. As far as durability, I haven’t had it long enough to comment. But as of now, I would def but again!

This product is BEAUTIFUL, way more so than the pictures show. It’s very grippy and fits perfectly on my phone. I’ve used Speck products for years so I trust them.

I love how thin and solid the case is, also the grip lines make harder to slip out of your hand.The shipping was really slow though, I had to wait almost 2 wks.

I was happy to find this. I bought the same one when I purchased my iphone and wore it out. I had to have the same one because it doesn't slip out of my hand, has some grip to it and comfortable in my hand. My old one, I wore the side button flap off and a couple of gripper strips off. I am happy to have the brand new one !

Very disappointed. I was excited to get this , I’ve previously had great speck cases. This one cracked while I was putting it on my phone, other reviewers have mentioned this as well. I will be returning and not purchasing another one.

Love it! Got so many compliments on this case from friends and total strangers with in the first week of having it. It’s honestly one of the most durable cases I’ve ever had. I constantly drop my phone everywhere. With this one I’ve literally dropped it on the pavement in every way possible and my phone doesn’t have a single scratch. The case itself took most of the damage but it did what it was intended to do, protect my phone.
