Great book if you're looking to advance your recorder playing. The book focuses on technical skills. If you're expecting a lot of music to play then you'll be disappointed. This book is for improving skills such as vibrato. It's kind of like a textbook.

Gudrun writes in a clear, unambiguous style with a wealth of interesting and challenging techniques. Not for the beginner, but if you are serious about progressing with the Recorder, buy it.!! It will never date and will always be a great reference.

Great exercises and information in this book. I appreciate being able to get it for a reasonable price in a short period of time.

Tough book for a laman to understand! You really need to concentrate on the work to understand this book. It is advanced in nature.You need a music teacher to help you with it! Still a good book, works on breathing techniques and sound!

Many hours of musical pleasure!

I am in my 70s and learning to play the recorder. This book may be a bit too far advanced for me but I am certainly finding it useful in my playing. Hopefully I will live long enough to complete and apply all the studies.

This book is ideal for the older student or adults who are established players but want to strip down their recorder technique to re-think the basics.
