Wow! This Tivo makes OTA TV great!
I had high hopes for this Tivo after using cheap PVRs for several years. I finally splurged for this model when I saw that it included the Tivo data subscription and no additional monthly cost (it does increase the price some, but it's worth it). The system was easy to install and connect to my home WiFi. It took just a while to set up my channels and then load all the current data for upcoming shows. It's now so easy to set up multiple recordings, view upcoming shows, and manage all my shows. It's actually better than the expensive cable services (I've had both DISH and DirectTV in the past). This box also works great with many streaming services. This make cable cutting a more than viable pursuit!

Pleased with Roameo TiVo.
Looked long & hard for a DVR when I cut the cord on my cable bill. Very pleased with this unit. It does all I want it to with a fair amount of ease. Learning curve is steep for this senior citizen, but worth the cost for getting rid of my cable bill.

Life time service alone usually costs at least $260
I bought my first TiVo in 2005 which was an analog unit so it outlived its usefulness after 10 years. I looked at new TiVos but thought I could do better for less money, but I had no idea how bad a DVR could be. Tried HD HomeRun first but it failed to reliably perform the most basic functions. Then I was wooed into buying the AMZ Fire Recast and found that it had been rushed to market long before it was ready. Two years later it was improved, but only to the point of being ALMOST acceptable, so once again I started looking at TiVo. When I found this deal, it seemed too good to be true, and after buying it, I'm pinching myself. My old TiVo was very good, but this one is flat AWESOME! First of all, it works flawlessly, which would be enough to make me very happy, but the new features are so incredible, it's not just more than I expected, it's more than I ever thought possible. I wasted a lot of time and money on other DVRs, but at least I know better than to ever do that again.

They lied.
I like to think what I buy could be rated five star, but they lost one star because of the HDMI cable. The online description says "HDMI cable included". The useless little booklet they sent with the machine says "HDMI cable included". They lied. It was not included. A response from my email to the company said that the HDMI cable has never been included with this product and that the booklet was in error. Had I known that I could have ordered one when I ordered the machine and saved a little on shipping. Had I known I would have ordered the cable and would not have had to steal the one off my computer to connect the DVR to the TV. Until I get another cable, either the DVR or the computer is useless. The complete lack of operating instructions is appalling. Of course, most electronics don't come with instructions related to how to use them. It took several hours over a few days to figure out the ins and outs of the thing. The biggest problem was the channels. It picked up 50 channels, 21 of which had no signal. Those were in the channel listing, but the one channel that my wife likes to record show from was not in the listing. It took me a little while, but I finally found "Settings". After a little experimenting I got it straightened out. Now only the 29 channels that come in are included in the channel listings, and it includes the one my wife wanted. The machine works well, as near as I can tell. The one I had before was easier to use, but now that I have this one figured out I think it will work out well. I wish I could give it five stars, but the missing cable lost one, and the aggravation of having to figure everything out without instructions lost the other. I did go to the website to see if maybe there was a downloadable manual, but didn't find one. I found no help at all on the website. But, I'm sure there are better days ahead. I didn't rate the voice feature because I haven't connected it. It will be just one more thing to figure out. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say to it anyway. Normally all I say to electronic equipment is a few choice cuss words. This may be a good machine, and someone more familiar with its format may have an easier time of it, but if you buy one, order an HDMI cable. You'll need it.

Doesn't work!
I'm sending back my second purchase from WeeKnees. First time the DVR Ethernet port was defective, the second purchase (sending back today) would not connect to the internet using a WiFi or Ethernet connection.

Easy to use, and no monthly fee.
Easy hook up, just a few minutes on the phone with a representative, and it was ready to start the setup. No monthly fee, and a much clearer and consistent picture quality than the antenna alone.

Design centers around OTA antenna broadcasts.
I liked alot about this DVR. It would work well if it's design was centered around TV that is available through the internet. My interest was in watching and recording on the dvr tv shows that I watch on YOUTUBE TV. Currently I have two Roku devices that allow me to watch and record to the cloud TV shows (many of which are not available OTA). My OTA antenna reception is not reliable and therefore not a source for recording TV shows and movies. I recently switch from Dish Network which requires a 24 month commitment. The DVR could furnish a solution to the intermittent reliability of downloading everything from the cloud! Often the speed is too slow to provide desirable results. This despite Google Fiber 1 gigabit connection to the internet! Previously I have made several requests to obtain a solution from Google and none of their technicians have been able to provide any help in resolving the speed issue!
