5 Piece Barbecue Wood Handle Tool Set

These are some man-size, heavy-duty grill tools. So big that I'm still trying to figure out how and where to store them. My husband liked them as his father's day gift. Contrary to my expectations, he thought the basting brush was useless and would have preferred a grill brush (grill cleaning brush). On the other hand, he was very satisfied with the tongs--he opined that locking tongs are for sissies and amateurs. Sigh. Men! Who can figure them out.I was fairly disappointed by the dirty (dusty, gritty), shopworn (torn, crumpled, dented) product packaging. The tools were secured to their cardboard package with twist ties, and several of these were missing. I guessed that the package had been purchased before, not only because of the missing ties but because the package was taped together with packing tape.To compound the problem, the outer amazon box had been poorly packed. The tools came in a far-too-big box with just a few folds of brown paper as cushioning. I have received other, much less expensive items from Amazon (health bars or face cream) packed quite securely with long loops of inflated bags as cushioning. It was weird to receive these heavy items sliding around in a big box. It made the box hard to handle and may have been at least part of the reason why the packaging looked so beat up. The tools themselves were not damaged. I wouldn't have cared quite as much if the purchase hadn't been intended as a gift. :-/

Amazon seems littered with budget grill kits that appear decent from the pics but, despite 4.5 to 5 star ratings, various reviews reveal the crap quality they are. Mostly all are not full tang which, in my opinion, is likely why they suck.After a long search through Amazon's huge list of grill kits, I finally came across this one and it's exactly what I was looking for! Full tang (steel body stretches all the way back through the hilt), 5 piece kit, wooden handles and no moving parts on the tongs.My initial thought was the wood coloring was a bit too dark but in person, I like the color a lot. They were also larger than I was expecting but after grilling with them a number of times, I've found they are as big as they need to be.If needed, I would definitely buy them again but I'm thinking they will last longer than I will.

I bought these because they were high quality and the wood handles didn't go all the way down to the working end (why are they doing that on so many BBQ tools these days, you don't want the wood getting greasy!). Anyways, these are very high quality and will last through several generations. But they are heavy, heavy, heavy to the point where they are almost difficult to maneuver. .

Heavy duty- very impressive- thought I would buy a cheap set - it came - so disappointed- got this - very happy - great weight- well constructed

Really well made tools with awesome wood handles. These are grilling tools that I expected to have for a lifetime. Great Job Man Law BBQ !

Had loose rivets holding the handles on , was able to fix that though with a 1/4 in punch and a steel plate on the back side. The magnet on my grill light indicates these are not stainless steel , stainless does not have iron in it which is what's magnetic and rusts. Package was thrown away by the time I realized that , will try and return anyways...Very dissatisfied.
