I am building my own custom made kitchen cabinets and wanted a pull out drawer for trash and recycling and this was just I was looking for. The unit is well made and the cans, while smaller than what we were using before are perfect for being installed in a lower cabinet under a drawer.My cabinet that I was building fit a bit larger space so I decided to build a box to h old cutting boards standing up and attached it to the side of the unit and it works perfectly. As a cabinet manufacturer i can say for sure that this is a good product. Installation was super easy and it works smoothly. Once you know your interior cabinet width and depth & check that those dimensions are compatible with the dimensions in the product description you will be fine!

We wanted this trash can but the new ones were out of stock, but Amazon had this one and it was supposed to be in "like new" condition and was discounted and the only one they had. We figured if it was truly like new then that's great, even if there is a scratch or something on it. When we opened the box one of the trash cans was broken on the side, and the front and middle wood dividers on the base were broken off. There was no damage to the box from shipping so we can only speculate this was why it was returned the first time, or it just doesn't hold up well in shipping. It was very easy to install and the soft close feature works great and fit our 15" base cabinet well. We would return it but figured we could buy another trash can and wood glue the supports back together and at least we would have it rather than waiting for it to come back in stock. But definitely beware of "like new" purchases from Amazon in the future.

So easy to install. I use one bin as recycle the other waste. Arrived on time. Glides smooth with the soft close. Paid a little more than similar items on amazon but well worth it!

I did a ton of research and for the price the Knape & Vogt was the best combination of quality and cost. It's well-made and has soft close hinges. Was fairly simple to install and took me about 45 minutes, and I'm far from a handyman. Highly recommend.

When I unpacked the unit I found that the wood base was broken. I could have returned it but the replacement would have arrived too late (4-6 weeks!) so I had to repair what I had (I am a woodworker).

I paid for a unit made with wood. I was sent a pull out made entirely of plastic.
