Sennheiser CX 2.00i Black In-Ear Canal Headset (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

My main system consists of digital preamp, power amp and a pair of ribbon panel speakers; the combined cost is almost like a small sedan. The sound stage is so real that you can "touch" the performers. For serious headphone usage, I use wired AKG or Audio Technica BT. I have a number of earbuds and they are decent for watching movies or phone conversation.I have a overseas trip coming up but I don't want to bring the big AKG or AT headphones. I have a pair of decent Kiplisch but the mic failed. I was searching for a replacement and this one came up. I bought a Sennheiser earbud for my wife and she is very happy with it though I never tried it myself. I have heard of Sennheiser as a brand but not much else. This one is reasonable in price and so I bought a pair just to try it out.I must say that I did not like it initially because it sounded so different from the Kiplisch. I thought it was much darker and kind of confined. I let it run for a few hours but not wearing it. Finally, in the evening when I had a chance to sit down to evaluate it. I first tried the Kiplisch and the familiar sound came out. Then I switched to the Sennheiser. It still sounded very different than the Kiplisch but in a good sense. It sounded somewhat like my main system but through this pair of earbud. The sound is rich, balance and detail; the Kiplisch sounds sharp and thin in comparison. I will "break in" this earbud over the next few days. So far so good.

I normally don't spend a lot of money on earbuds. I've been more than happy with my Sony Bumpin Buds [ASIN: B007BY3OTW]; which offer a great sound for the money. But I thought I'd splurge a little get something better, and something could be used with my phone for calls. First, don't let the low reviews here dissuade you. If you check the Amazon UK site, the reviews are mostly positive 4-stars or higher. So it just goes to show different people have different preferences.If you prefer boosted bass, then get a set of Beats or Skull Candy earphones. If you like to hear music the way it was intended, then consider these Sennheiser earphones. The sound is naturally flat. You an always use the sound settings or EQ on your phone to adjust the levels to your liking. Don't have much else to say on the audio quality.Other than for music or phone calls, these earphones can be used on laptops that have a combo earphone/mic jack. Pretty handy if you use Skype or other telephony applications. And the volume control on the chord works on the computer too!One thing I don't like about these earphones is the ear pieces. I think they're made of silicone. They're soft, but not soft enough. So they don't quite stay in my ears too well. And they don't quite block out environmental noises. So I did what another reviewer did, I swapped them out with some spare silicone ear pieces from my Sony earphones. Perfect. Now they stay in my ears and block out noises.Highly recommend these. For the price, they sound great and look great. I just can't justify paying more for the other Sennheiser earphones.

I’m a mechanic and I wear these earbuds roughly 4-7 hours a day during the week and a few hours on the weekends. I do yard work with them in. I skateboard with them in. I’m not intentionally rough with them, but they do take a beating. They’ve held up great so far.They’re lightweight, which is great for me since I wear them for longer durations. They’re also comfortable in the ear and they don’t fall out.The sound quality is decent for the price. If you wanted any better sound quality, you would have to pay substantially more money.Overall, these are an excellent choice if you’re looking for a quality pair of buds for an affordable price. I’ve been through many pairs of earbuds and these hit the sweet spot when I was looking to get the most quality while spending the least amount of money. If these fell apart tomorrow, I would buy the exact same model immediately.

I bought these thinking they would sound great because I have 2 other pairs of Sennheisers. After a couple weeks of little use, the whole right side loses audio. I tested in my gaming computer and phone. Nothing different. Was gone. I have the Sennheiser HD280 Pros and the Sennheiser CX200 earbuds. They both work great but I wanted an upgrade. The earbuds here sound great but they died on me resulting in this one star. Omly my left side works. Not cool. Dont pay the $50 for these.

Sennheiser is known for great sound products. (When I was a gig singer, my microphone was always a Sennheiser.)These are terrific. My only problem (not a problem with the product at all!) is that I tend to lose headsets. But replace them with these, because they're so good.Most of my work is done via phone, Zoom, FaceTime, etc. So it's good to have a really reliable headset with a clear microphone. In addition, when I listen to music, I get terrific sound from these.You could definitely get a cheaper headset, but these are far and away noticeably better in sound quality - and I've found them better than some of the more expensive ones.They are comfortable in the ear - they fit well - and the comfortable fit lets you know which ear is right and which is left. (If you mix them up, they don't feel right in your ears.) I highly recommend these!!

Needed to buy new headphones as my crazy cat Comet chewed the ear piece off my last pair of headphones, which he seems to do quite regularly, if I don’t hide them well. He’s a cute pest, but a pest. He’s just lucky I love him very much, but, back to the headphones. They are a great headphone, with awesome sound quality. They were a great price for the quality, and I even bought another pair. (Because of you know who!!). They arrived packaged so well, and in a very timely manner, I think only a few days after I ordered them. Love these headphones. :D. Thanks Comet. :D.

Mi aspettavo di più, vanno bene per sentire una telefonata ma non musica. Alti troppo presenti e medio-bassi quasi inesistenti.

Gran sonido,vale lo que se paga por ellos. Tenía miedo al inicio que perdiera sonido o que no fuera bueno por el micrófono que gran error cometí. Lo volvería a comprar
