Responsive Web Design (Brief Books for People Who Make Websites, No. 4)

The authoritative read on responsive design
As a student of web design, this book kept coming up in blogs, podcasts & discussions. I had to see what the talk was about and I'm glad I did. If you're new to web dev or boning up in responsive design, this is the book for you. Short, concise, with good examples. There is nothing to lose.

Really hard to follow along with the examples
This book does an excellent job of explaining the fundamentals and theory of responsive web design. However the code examples used throughout the book don't build upon each exercise in a logical and easy to follow way method. It's almost like there needs to be downloadable code for each chapter (which include start files and completed files). So you can orientate yourself and peek at the completed code if you get stuck. Sure there's a demo website but the code there differs from what's in the book...confusing!!Wouldn't recommend it for someone just starting out!!

This book is amazing. If you want to learn about responsive web ...
I underestimated how tiny the book is, that's the schtick for this series - small books with a lot of info, but it's size doesn't take anything away. This book is amazing. If you want to learn about responsive web design this is an excellent place to start. I would recommend to anyone.

Compelling case for Responsive Design
Excellent book to help webmasters launch themselves into responsive web design. This is so good that I bought another copy and gave it to my art director (who knows nothing about HTML or CSS).

Well presented
Excellent terse book with many colored examples discussing elastic-width columns, images, and media queries and methods. It would have been nice to include a chapter on responsive third-party libraries (e.g. jQuery mobile), but this book should easily get you started with the essentials.

Good, not great.
Not a good resource for beginners in my opinion, it took way too long to give actual code examples, which is the best way I learn.
