Works well without problems for me.
Works well in my computer with a Supermicro X12SPi-TF motherboard. It is running with two drives in it without problems. I did not have to do anything in BIOS to set lane splitting for it to work properly. All-in-all a solid product that performs without problems for me.

Works with Dell Precision T5810 - boots from Socket1 in Legacy (non-UEFI) Mode Also!
Installed in Dell Precision T5810 workstation in x8 lane with Intel 1TB SSDs. BIOS is set to "Legacy" mode, and surprised that it will still boot from Socket-1. Drive in Socket-2 is accessible, but it cannot be selected for boot even though visible in BIOS and temporary boot-selection menu ("F12"). I also had ordered the ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 PCIe 3.0 X4 Expansion Card V2. Under same BIOS "Legacy" settings, it will only boot from Socket-4, but other Sockets 1,2 & 3 drives are all visible. I think the ASUS Hyper M.2 is a better value in my case as it is used to triple boot: Centos-7 (Socket-4) and "grub2" allowing me to get to Windows-10 (Socket-3), Centos-8 (Socket-2). Socket-1 is just used as an NTFS backup disk. Have not tried UEFI BIOS setting for either case.

More Nvme's!
Slots are far enough apart to support two drives with large heat sinks. Of course you will only see one drive if your bios/motherboard does not support bifurcation. Works perfectly on my Supermicro X11DPi MB's with two WD_BLACK 8TB SN850P M.2 with heatsinks - WDBBYV0080BNC-WRSN. OS: VMware ESXI 8.03.

Best SuperMicro M.2 Expansion
If you are using a supported SuperMicro Motherboard, this card is amazing. The only difficult part is getting the correct PCIe bus set to 4x4x4x4x bifurcation. You will likely need your motherboard's manual and a little bit of help from SuperMicro's documentation. SM BIOS are notoriously complex beasts -- mine is a dual processor scalable Xeon board and the setting is down 6 levels into the Advanced menu, and I had to know the correct CPU and PCIe lane to configure. I figured that out from looking at the Mobo's physical layout diagram. EDIT: What an absolute beast. I've been running two of these at high temps and heavy (heavy) loads for a couple of years now. Solid.

Excellant card. Check your BIOS for PCIe bifurcation capability before purchasing!!!
I love Supermicro hardware and this product is no exception. But it was designed to be used in a Supermicro X11 motherboard with a Supermicro BIOS with PCIe bifurcation (the ability to subdivide PCIe slots lanes). If your BIOS doesn't support PCIe bifurcation, getting your second M.2 to be recognized will require skills that very few possess (manually reprogramming BIOS and/or dynamically configuring PCIe register data). Check your BIOS first, if you can set your target PCIe 16 slot for x4x4x4x4 or PCIe 8 slot for x4x4, you are good to go!!

Check the HCL on SuperMicro's site or check with their support.
In my case, it was not listed as compatible with my SuperMicro System Board. I would get PCI events/alerts from the IPMI whenever I put the system under load where the NVMe sticks would be hit, however, it worked and the underlying OS (FreeNAS) never complained. Ended up pulling it as I didn't like the alerts. Mainly wanted this solution as I could look at using 110mm Optane sticks for the ZIL as the onboard NVMe M.2 slot is only up to 80mm; and I've yet to locate a M.2 NVMe that size that supports power-loss-protection; which given the nature of a ZIL; is pretty important. Marking it 4 stars because it worked, but, knocking 1 star because something like this should just simply work w/o generating alerts and if the system supports bifurcation (mine does) then it should just work. Probably works find in systems that SM says it's supported for; and of note, SM Support was willing to help troubleshoot.

Works perfectly with Supermicro H11DSi-NT
Works as expected and the speeds in Crystal Disk Info doubled as I was previously using the Crucial P3 4TB m.2 in the m.2 slot which is only x2. This add-on I installed in the PCI-E x8 slot with the Crucial m.2 inserted into the first add-on m.2 slot. As expected, only the sequential speed doubled. The rest of the speeds were about the same as the motherboard m.2 x2 slot. With sequential reading being quite rare this wasn't much of an upgrade in terms of performance. Ordered this on March 25th and received it in Toronto today March 31st so it was much quicker than I expected. Knocked one star however as this add-on was $106 after tax which is quite expensive.

Hard to find
Took a while to be delivered. About a month. But good price and worth the wait

Waste of time and money
Waste of time and money! Not compatible on Dell PowerEdge R730, bios, firmware (updated) and bifurcation enable x4x4x4x4 even other slot it doesn't detect. Return and refund I believe is rights of customer Notes from Supplier "We received your return request and cannot except returns for already opened mediaproducts. If the item is not any more originaly sealed, a a return and refund is not possible."
