our rescued dog has allergies and this was the only thing that he eats without a problem. They recommend ordering 2 weeks before you're out to keep it fresh. I just ordered and every product they make is on backorder from all distributors. I'm trying some other products so if I'm lucky I won't be back. Too bad because it is a great product

I've been giving this to my Westie for 3 years. This is the food recommended by the Houston Westie Rescue organization. They get many dogs who have been given up due to skin problems and then rehabilitate them so they can be placed in new homes. We have never had an issue with our Westie and I think one of the main reasons is because we feed him this.

Before I begin, I do want to say that every dog is different and what works for some won't work for others.For us, we suffered for 11 years with severe skin allergies and infections. Bloody lesions, ear and eye infections would plague our poor dog. No matter what we did, change dog foods, use expensive antiseptics, administer even more expensive steroids and antibiotics, nothing helped.I put her on probiotics. I gingerly bathed her for years. I cared for every lesion like a nurse in a war battle zone.We then decided after consulting with our vet to stop all meds. It just wasn't working and we were afraid it would do too much damage to her kidneys. He said to try with food. Get rid of all corn products and high preservative foods.A friend suggested her dog's favorite 'Fish and Chips'. She gave me the link to the website and I read up a little and ordered a small bag. At that point, I figured, it couldn't hurt.Well, that was 3 years ago and I can't say that it was all the magic of food but I honestly think it didn't hurt. Our dog now has been lesion and infection free for three years.I think the low corn and preservative content of this food has assisted us with maintaining a low allergen environment for her.Now again, I preface, every dog is different. I have my pup at 8 month old and she stroke for three days not eating as she misses her home and her mom dad... She was very sickly looking and her hair is tangy and lifeless... I got her on this brand about a few weeks ago she's almost 2 now....she just start to grow! Not just gaining weight but just catch up what she has been missing out as nutrient...npand grow into her healthy weight, I can tell because her hair just soft and health looking and her chest got perkier... She s a very happy puppy now...disappoint ing to see how few review they got.. My friend who recommended me as his cats hair looks great as well
