A perfect /imperfect little tape
It doesn't lock and it doesn't rest in place like an anchor but what this offers is impeccable ergonomics (fits perfectly into the palm of your hand) and is infinitely pocketable. Despite not locking, it's so useful to have in the shop, apron or pocket.Equally awesome is that this tape is ACCURATE. I see that the first Amazon rating to pop up is saying the opposite, so maybe there's some variance. But I tested mine against what I think are my most accurate rules (Woodpeckers) and it's dead on to those. None of my other basic tapes are this accurate (my fastcaps might be but I'd have to double check). In any case, not only is this handy as heck but really is high accuracy as well.Like any tape, getting a clean and flush connection with the hook is important--and this hook is smaller like the tape-- but once you have that, you'll have high accuracy. I hope Stanley keeps making these long term.

Handy Size, Heavy Duty Construction
This is a great tool to keep handy in my purse, but I think it would be a little heavy to carry around daily in a pocket if you aren't one who carries a purse. I suppose if you are accustomed to keeping a large key ring, a decently sized Swiss Army knife, or other EDC "essentials", its weight might not stand out to you. Personally, I have no regrets about this purchase because it gets the job done and it looks classy.

Great little reproduction
Nice little reproduction of an early Stanley design. Small and light enough to slip into a pocket to take with you to the big box store when you need to double check that a fridge will fit in that odd space in your older house. Or if the new size of washing machines or stoves will work.In the shop, it's useful for small projects. There is no lock, and there is no clip, so you'll have to hold it with a finger and slip it into your pocket, but it's a nice little tape.

Stanley quality for this example, but sadly not USA made
Stanley "Sweetheart" anniversary tape measure; reasonable price, nicely made, quality feel. As with early design tape measures it has no locking mechanism, other than the users thumb. The accuracy is as good or better than other similar tapes; durability should be good unless it is abused. It has some weight to it and seems very well made; just unfortunate that it isn't being manufactured in the USA.Don't let this stop you from picking one up, it's still very nice.

Very solid, nice looking, and well-built but unfortunately way too heavy
Beautiful little tape, even the box is nice. One thing I think needs to be said is that it is HEAVY.I was planning to keep this in my bag and make it part of my "everyday carry". Unfortunately, the thing is extremely heavy. It also does not have a belt clip. So you need to keep it in a pocket, tool belt, or bag where no one can appreciate this cool tape anyway. I don't have a way to weigh it handy, but it's heavy enough that it pulls your pants down when kept in a pocket, and kept in an EDC adds way too much weight to be worth it.It's great for what it is, and it's even an art piece in a way. So if that's what you want it would be great for you. But it isn't right for me.I can't give it 5 stars given the weight and lack of belt clip, etc. I get that adding a clip wouldn't be historically accurate or whatever but unfortunately it just isn't as portable, convenient or as handy as a modern plastic one.

Most fun (and cool) little measuring tape!
How can you resist? This little guy fits easily in your pants pocket - sometimes I forget it’s in there! It is more “fun” to use in my opinion than a standard measuring tape. No locking feature that I know of, but it is a replica of one of Stanley’s original models so it won’t have all the bells and whistles. This thing is aesthetically pleasing too, if you care at all about that (I don’t really, but I think it definitely adds to the fun during use). I think this is a great stocking stuffer or gift (for another or for yourself). I recommend.

Great EDC tape; high quality.
Love this tape, they don’t make tools like this anymore. It’s solid metal and has a nice weight in your hand. The standout is almost three feet which is good in my opinion being that it’s only 1/2” wide. It’s small enough to fit in a pouch that is on my cell holster that is designed for two phones. See photos for details, link below. I also keep a rite in the rain tablet and have tied it to my leatherman holster. It’s so useful to have a tape on me and I have gone through many trying to find the best everyday carry (EDC).Belt Holster with Magnetic Cover... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MDHYTGJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Beautiful solid chrome tape measure
I’ve always liked round tape measures like this, so when I saw this solid metal chrome edition, I grabbed it before they’re gone. It doesn’t have a lock button, but that’s fine for me. The tape action is silky smooth, the metal case is gorgeous and solid. It feels great in the hand. It has a screw on the back so I suppose you could take it apart if you had to. I pulled the tape all the way out and I believe it’s replaceable. I say buy one of these while you can.

Nice overall
Very slick and small tape I really like it. There are a few things; the tape is skinny so can't reach as far without folding, there is no clip (but it is the perfect pocket size), and the measurements are only feet and inches. Nice overall though.

All imperial
Great tape

Beautiful but imperial
It’s a thing of beauty and a joy to hold but utterly useless if you work in metric!
