Can you use the herbs to make an oil and leave the oil in the hair for a week or two without washing it out?

Yes. It’s works wonders on dandruff has completely done away with the random itching. I wash every 4-5days in summer and weekly when it’s cold. Greatest benefit is the growth. As for the herbal smell if you leave your hair out for a couple hours it goes away.

How often should I use this as a hair mask?

It depends on how often YOUR hair can withstand herbal ayurvedic reatments. I use this product every 4-6 weeks as a full mask and in between with a hair gloss. Which is basically adding 1-2 tsp in my moisturizing deep conditioner.

What is the expiration date on the 400 and 1000 g? It would be good to provide that in the product details.
