Not a true replacement for Mediasmart Servers
The wiring harness I’d far too long for use in the Mediasmart Server. Causes airflow problems.

Works Perfectly for HP-EX495 MediaSmart
This is working great! Our HP EX495 we purchased in 2011 is over 11 yrs old. Its been running every day 24 hrs a day. That's ALOT of hours!Last week, while rebooting it as we were installing a UPS, the power supply gave a weird buzz and failed to reboot. Removed the old power supply and examined the insides and there was a black charred area of the metal shielding above the copper coils. I didn't see anything like swollen or broken capacitors.Found this replacement 350W psu and it plugged right in. The mounting screw holes in the power supply are a different threading, so it is important to use the two extra screws that are included with the replacement PSU (they are holding the unneeded surface mount bracket which you remove before installing it in the HP chassis.We've been using this HP to run RHEL 6.3 since 2013 and it acts as the Backup Repository for our VEEAM nightly backups. Now it's back up again, like brand new.

worked but it has so many wires, obviously because it is a universal power supply, that it was hard to fit inside. But now my HP MediaSmart is working again.
