This thing is cavernous!
This thing is cavernous! It fits everything and then some, and I ride Road, 'cross and MTB, and year round, too, so I have a mix of lots of gear (i.e. 4 sets of gloves) stashed in it. It is well built with tough, durable looking materials. A nice touch is the extra strong zipper tabs. I expect it to last a long time. The trick will be trying to remember where I put everything; I "lost" a set of my winter gloves in it the other day, and found them below my helmet pouch. Lol.Seriously, I used a small cardboard box, and my helmet as containers to transfer gear from the house to my vehicle for rides for several years. I had a mental checklist to make sure I didn't forget anything, and usually had to make several trips to the house to the car and things spilling out, and, luckily not often, I did forget something; like my night light for a night ride... Anyway, this bag takes care of all that. Fill it up and it takes just two trips out to the car, one for the bag, the other for the bike. The only thing tentative about the bag is if I will use the mat and tool pouch that comes with the deluxe. I haven't used either yet. For tools, I have a saddle pouch for my road bike, and stash my MTB pump and tools into my Camelbak. If I think I will need extra tools I have a bike specific tool box for that. I think the Deluxe (from looking at pictures and review on the Web) has a better internal pouch layout than the standard, so that's why I got it over the standard Cube, but if you don't think you will use the mat or tool pouch, then go with the standard Bike Cube. All said, this bag is a winner!

Seriously...really...just buy it
I am just a normal Joe. I don't write reviews unless it's awful or amazing. This bag is the definition of amazing. I own over 20k+ in camping gear, over 50 backpacks and duffles, and just didn't have the right bag to carry my bike gear. In other bags, something always didn't fit or it was akward and bulging (usually problems with the helmet and shoes). So I got this bag. My only concern was it might be too small or overly massive. This thing made my jaw drop, literally jaw drop. The attention to detail, the included mats and roll up tool cover is made of a ballistic nylon with clear tool compartments and took strap downs. I literally mean jaw drop. I fit all my tools, 1 pair of shoes, 4 different SETS of clothes top and bottom (all my bike clothes), gloves, helmet, food, water bottle, the included changing mat. I literally mean perfect. I was a little worried but now I am buying 2 more for the next gifts I am giving.Seriously, don't look at the price and buy it. If I'm writing this, then stop reading reviews and trust me.

Great cycling gear bag
This thing is great, I can carry all of my cycling gear in one bag helmet included and not have to make a million trips to the car.Pro'sLarge enough to fit tons of gear, Helmet shoes, spare cloths, nice tool kit wrap that comes with it.Heavy duty nylon like all of the other Mountainsmith products - should last foreverVented clothes arealots of little pockets for thingsadjustable separator in main compartment to keep the dirty stuff from the clean stuffHavn't used the changing pad yet but I like the ideaConsI wish the strap were not centered but rather offset so that i would haul better when carried on the shoulderShoe elastic net thing could be bigger (or I could get smaller feet size 13 shoes only one will fit in at a time)

Great bag -- super practical
This bag is great. It's fat, but it handles everything -- helmet, shoes, clothes, food, tools. I keep everything in it that I need to take with me, with the exception of stuff that needs to get washed or aired out, so I don't need to think about what to take with me every time I drive to ride somewhere. The center compartment is ventilated, so sweaty gear can go there after a ride and last a while. Lots of pockets and a yellow interior so you can actually find what you're looking for very easily. Center compartment also has a protective pocket for glasses. Warning: It does have a lot of pockets, so it's possible to lose track of things. Many are mesh, though, so easy to see what you have.

I really wanted to like this. It has a number of well designed ...
I really wanted to like this. It has a number of well designed compartments, is made of quality material and overall it seems to be built well. However, I just didn't like the way it was so boxy. I race mountain bikes and often have to throw my stuff over my shoulder and ride to the start. This just didn't work well. If you just need one for your car, I think this would work perfectly.I decided to go with another bag...the Ogio 9.0 Endurance Duffel. It just works better for me.

Mountainsmith Bike Delux Bag.
Good bag, Got it for holding some of my bike stuff, Shoes, helmet, Clothes and misc bike items. The reason I did not give 5 stars is my bike Helmet doesn't really fit properly. This was one of two reasons I bought it.My Bike helmet is a Torch T1.However I'd still recommend this bag since it holds almost all my bike stuff. It seems to be well made.Yes I recommend this bag.And I approve of the message.

Not bad, not great, could use improvements.
Had higher expectations for this bag, given the brand, but was let down. The bag is very large and can store lots of biking gear, but many of the organizer pockets aren't well thought out or placed, so they lose their effectiveness. The bag also suffers from much needed support reinforcements, arguably in the bottom at minimum and preferably in the outer sides as well, that would keep it standing up better when it's not totally full. Given the way it's designed, the strap would be more useful if it was attached diagonally, so the bag stays flush/parallel with your body when you're carrying it.

I'm good to go
Cavernous bag with plenty of room for all my cycling gear. The first time I put my gear in the bag I found myself looking for other things to fill empty space. What I appreciate most is having a single bag to tote all my gear, and as long as I don't forget to put everything I need in it, I'm good to go. Money well spent, particularly if it's on sale.
