Great product, great value!
I had previously purchased three 320M's for studio work, and found those to be fantastic units for the small studio environment I have. But I wanted something with a little more punch when I need more distance on my key light, or extra fill on an outdoor shot. Obviously regardless of how powerful of a light you have, if you have bright sunlight you're pretty much stuck, In my experience it doesn't matter how bright your strobes are, you can only stop down your settings so far, and in bright sunshine that's not gonna be enough to make the background fall to darkness. Okay, enough of the general overview.Pro's: Solid build. The unit does not feel flimsy, or likely to break in anyway. I have carried with me on several occasions, and it still works flawlessly. Reasonably fast recycle time. I'd say at max power just around a second, maybe slightly more to recycle. Probably not ideal for high end fashion shoots, but if you're doing high end fashion shoots you're probably not looking at this level of product. Consistent. Power and color output has been outstanding so far. It's rated at 5600k, and (using a calibrated monitor) what you see is what you get. Obviously there are variations in the small screens of cameras, but when you compare your image on a 1080p screen, to what you saw when you shot it, well, I couldn't ask for better. Power. Yes, its only a 300ws light. Depending on your work you may want to go with more power, especially if shooting in certain circumstances or arrangements outside. I was experimenting to see if I could black out the background in direct sunlight with my cycle lit, and even at f/32, ISO 100, and 1/200 the background was still obvious. Under exposed, but still easily there. Light was about 8ft away 9ft up at a 45 degree angle for that shot, and bike looked lovely, But the background still shows through. Simplicity. From back to front, top to bottom, this unit is straight-forward and easy to use. The reflector has a hole in it for mounting umbrellas. The outlet on bottom of unit for use with battery pack (sorry have not acquired or tested use with one yet). And the controls on the back are obvious. Fan cooled. The fact this unit is fan-cooled (its smaller 320M siblings are not) is a bonus. It does not get hot to the touch. I have yet for it to overheat, even after hours of shooting, and it is not annoyingly loud. It's no worse than a fan cooled computer. Easy assembly/mounting. Spring loaded lock to mount reflectors/speedrings. Light-stand mount is pretty straight-forward, and angle adjustment lever is firm and controllable. Carry Handle. Yeah, looks pointless. You'd think it'd be a flimsy piece of plastic just to make it "look useful". This handle is solid, and nice to have, especially when moving more than one head around. Modeling Lamp. Plenty of power, and fully adjustable with power output of flash, or able to stay on full power full time.CONS: Recycle time: Yeah I know I listed this in pros too. It's situational. Even for some portrait work it'd be nice to snap a couple rapid succession shots with motion, but it is a $200, not $2,000 light. Adjustability: If you like to shoot fast wide open apertures in small studio space (12ft or less) this is probably not the light for you. With a softbox or umbrella attached the light has to be about 12 ft away to get f/2.8 or faster, and at that obviously the light becomes harder than I'd like, but this is a subjective opinion. If I'm doing product work, or "artsy" work where I may like these apertures I go back to my 320M's. Compatability?: I've only had these units for a few months now, but I am having a hard time finding any information on adapters, or compatability with other manufacturers light modifier products... I can't say it's not possible, and if anyone does know more on this please post a link for me and others to find this info.Improvements I would like to see: Adjustable reflector, digital display of some sort, preferably in stops...

Great light with steady power and nice features.
I like this light a lot. Granted, I don't have a lot of experience with moonlights but this one has suited my needs very well in a small, home studio. In fact, it might be overkill but I'd rather have a bit more power than not enough. I haven't found anything to dislike yet. The positive? Good construction, steady light, dump feature, fan-cooled, variable power, slave feature. I like it enough that I just ordered two more.

Perfect less expensive monolight!
Perfect less expensive monolight. The modeling lamp stopped working after few days so had to order another one. But the flash light quality is very good.

I have only used this light in the studio, ...
I have only used this light in the studio, with AC. The controls are slightly different from my older model 620A but not significantly.
