Is Exactly as Described but Failed Prematurely - See Update as of 20 October 2018 - See Update as of 21 October 2018
This is an initial observation. The chair looks good. It glides, rotates and reclines easily. The footrest, at least for me--a 65-year-old man--retracts easily and locks with a kick inward. The fabric is nice and it looks exactly as pictured. The recline is good and easy to use. The 22" wide cushion is very roomy. There is no headrest but one was neither expected nor needed for me. The seat is higher than I am used to but not too high. From the perspective of look and function, the chair meets expectations. I cannot comment on wear and durability because it is brand new. There is one minor issue that should be noted in the instructions but is not. The brackets in the back that attach to the posts on the base are 19" apart. The posts on the base are 20" apart. After looking at it, we figured out that the posts need to be pulled towards the center so that the brackets can slide over them. Doing that creates tension which helps hold the back firmly in place.UPDATE 20 OCTOBER 2018A crossbar at the bottom rear of the mechanism has broken off at the left side after just 18 months. This has caused the chair to be unusable. It is tilted back at an odd angle and cannot be moved forward or back; it is stuck. I asked Amazon for warranty information. Amazon referred me to Pulaski with a link to their website. There, I found this statement, "We must request that all service and product concerns be directed through your original dealer. They will be able to provide us with the appropriate information so that they in turn can assist you accordingly." I went back to Amazon and received this response, "we are only the retailers, the warranty of the item is covered by the manufacturers and not by the retailers." So, Amazon disclaims responsibility, sending me to Pulaski, and Pulaski requires that all claims come through Amazon which refuses to deal with it. In short, I am simply stuck with the broken chair. My rating may change with a further update if Amazon and/or Pulaski accept responsibility for the failure. As of now, each refers me to the other. Everything prior to this update was absolutely correct. The reason for the change from five to two stars is the early failure of the mechanism and the refusal of Amazon and Pulaski to even respond to the problem, much less address it.UPDATE 21 October 2018Amazon has stepped up to the plate. Between Nick B. and Jasmine, Amazon has arranged to stand by the product. They will have it picked up and issue a refund. I have purchased a replacement Belleze Recliner Swivel Chair Armrest Padded Backrest Living Room Rocker Reclining Chairs Comfort Footrest Linen, Beige and will review that shortly. The Pulaski chair is a problem because it failed far to soon, BUT, Amazon has been terrific and more than helpful. I owe Amazon a debt of gratitude and I hope this update helps to begin to repay that debt. I can no longer recommend the chair but HIGHLY recommend continuing to buy on Amazon.com.

Wide recliner with quiet mechanism
Update- it’s been 4 years since I bought this pair of chairs. They are still clean, functioning well. One squeaks and my brother had to oil it. The other has always been more difficult to close from a reclining position. Now that we all have hip and leg issues, I am donating that chair, and bought an exact replacement- which should tell you how much I like these chairs! We all know how hard it is to buy a chair sight unseen- and I bought 2! I. Was looking for a pair of chairs that swivel and recline but don't look like a mans overstuffed lounger.Thankfully these are great. They are neat and tailored, wide in the seat( we are a big family and yet when we sit in the chair, there are inches to spare!) the mechanism is quiet and easy, and there is something very lulling about the gentle glide and swivel of this chair! It comes in a very large, heavy box, and you have to put the back of the chair on the base, a little easier done if you have 2 people. My only 2 negatives are that 1) the seat could be just a few inches deeper, but this is also why my older relatives like them, they find it easy to get in and out of the chair.2) more significantly, one chair is rather hard to put the seat back down out of the reclining position. My father no longer has the strength in his legs to snap it back in place. But he can close the other chair, so I am not returning the one that is harder to close.Overall I am really happy with this big tailored, quiet, chair with it comfortable glide and easy recline, oh and it is treated and spot cleans easily. A safe buy!

Not Disappointed
This chair arrived in a very large box; I have sympathy for whomever had to carry it up two flights of stairs. That said, upon opening the box, the chair was not at all the color I was expecting (happy surprise)! In the picture, the color appears to be a very light cream, but it is actually more of a taupe (not beige or cream, but taupe). Not a grey taupe though. I happen to like the color very much, and the fabric is awesome; nice soft, velvety texture.Assembly was very easy and is just a matter of connecting the top part of the chair to the base of the chair (typical recliner assembly). The chair reclines, swivels and rocks...isn't too large, or too small; fits nicely into a corner (although full reclining not possible in the corner).I like the chair and hope it provides many years of sitting and reclining.

Good recliner but hard to close
I tried using this to sleep when I was pregnant with twins but it wasn't very good lower back support. Now I use this as my nursing chair and I love it. The material is very soft and the recliner is very comfortable. The glider mechanism is quiet which is a plus. It only glides when it's in the closed position. Once it's in the reclined position, it doesn't glide but you can push back to how far you want it to recline. The only hard thing is closing it as you have to push it down pretty hard with your legs. Not so great when you just got a baby to sleep. Otherwise, a great chair for the price and easy to clean too. I just use a damp washcloth to wipe up any spit up or spilled milk.

We've had this chair for about a week and we love it. We bought it for the nursery and I have tested it out a few times while getting everything all setup. So far, so good. The only thing I've noticed that may not be 100% is the closing mechanism for the recliner is a little difficult to lock-in. I have to stand up and kick it with my foot to close all of the way, but I am weak and 9 mo's pregnant. I'm hoping this gets better with wear. Otherwise, it's big, soft, and fits my husband and I well- unlike the nursery gliders we tried out. I'm 5'7 and he's a big guy at 5'10 with a broad shoulders. Hope this helps! I'll post an update in a few months if anything changes...
