It's strong enough to hold heavy items, but as far as getting it into the wall it is great for what it was created for hanging, extremely heavy large paintings, mirrors or just small objects. I would suggest this for anyone. You can use this for many more other options such as organizing things within a craft room or even your garage. These made larger holes than implied and I wasn’t able to get it into any of my walls which is odd since I live in a wood frame 1970’s apartment building. It could definitely be a my wall issue but it was very challenging to even get a good grip on these to try and get them into the wall. A nail would cause less damage and could at least be driven in with a hammer. Since I couldn’t get them into the wall I have no idea how they do with weight.
