This works as advertised. It stops the cold breeze coming in from my electric fireplace. As advertised, it does NOT stop all cold air from coming in, as it lets the house “breathe”. It’s 90% better than before and there is no ridiculous draft freezing my living room. The floor is still cold in front of the fireplace, which is fine. Im not sure the material is worth the price but the savings in my heating bill pay for it in less than a month so I guess its worth the price. My measurements on my vent were not an exact match but it fits pretty well. I looked all over the internet for something and this is all I could find to fit this type of vent, so I would recommend this.

HAD TO USE DUCK TAP TO GET A TIGHT SEAL

I purchased the round shape and installation was easy to install with in a minute. It is windy in my area and I think the magnets will help it stay on. I have noticed a temperature change in my house for the better. I have tried other options over the years to help reduce the cold air in my house in the winter months with little to no help.

I’ve never left reviews on a purchase before and I have Amazon packages being delivered almost every week of the year. The item came as described and the quality is ok. My issue is that it does t work. The design doesn’t work simply because it doesn’t “pull snug” to the side of the house. It also barely fit even after I removed the flange on top of the vent itself. Bottom line - if you are trying to keep out a cold draft this doesn’t work. There is still a 1/2” gap between this cover and the side of the house which is why the wind still comes through. My solution is to go back to using Weatherseal Tape and taping all the vent openings closed again as that worked better than this does. Great idea but it simply doesn’t work. I will try and add pictures for reference

I liked how easy the cover was to fit and attach to the vent. The absence of a draft is quite noticable.

For what it is, it is really expensive. Unfortunately its literally the only one for sale. I was hoping it was one size fits all. the shape is right, but its about half an inch too short all around to actually fit. Im going to remove the insulation pad that is stuck inside. I think that might give me a bit extra room. Then I will grab some bungee cords and get it nice and snug around the vent.

Fits perfectly and simple to install. You could probably make this yourself with some flexible tubing and some insulation but I didn't want to bother with this or have a crappy looking cover outside so opted to just buy this when I saw it. Doesn't completely get rid of all drafts since some might be from poor insulation around the gas fireplace bump out but every little bit helps...at least bugs and bees and stink bugs won't have a home now.
