rubber silicon banana filled with sand
They are precisely as you would expect a rubber silicon banana filled with sand to be like. The only thing I might complain a bit about is that the green stuff wears off and is kind of gross, as you can see in the photo with the opened banana.Otherwise these things are great for fiddling with. Good as a random gag gift as well. They seem more durable than the average balloon stress ball filled with sand, but obviously not unbreakable. Luckily, they are pretty cheap, so if you really plan on using it a lot, just buy like 20 and you should be good to go.

My kid LOVES it!
It's a stretchy banana. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but that's pretty much all there is to it. And it's definitely stretchy. It's about the size of an actual banana, so that was not disappointing. I was surprised at the weight of it when I first opened it. It's heavier than I expected and was really firm, at first. After being stretched and flopped around, it has softened up. My kid absolutely loves it, as has everyone who has tried it out. It stretches out to a few feet long, but can also be squished down into a fat blob. It makes a satisfying thwack when slapped onto a hard surface. It eventually regains its banana shape, but stays pretty stretched out for awhile. Seems filled with sand, maybe. It had an awful Made in China poison rubbery smell at first, but that has worn off. It also left a powdery residue on your hands, but that has also gone away with handling. It has a rubbery skin that feels gross to me, and it gets dirty very quickly. My son washes it off with soap and water, and it seems fine. It's a bit sticky, but he doesn't seem to care. You definitely want to wash your hands after touching it. It is fun to stretch it and squish it, and slap things with it, lol. It made my kid happy on Christmas and it's still going strong days later. I would definitely recommend this as a silly gift.

Alternative use: elderly!
My grandmother is doing hospice at home with us & she’s been struggling to open up and work her hands. We got her this half as a joke prior to her getting on hospice (we joke she has that “dirt old man laugh” and she didn’t disappoint) but now that she’s on hospice and using it it’s been great! The nurses always comment about how great it is and that they wish they had even known about it. We’ve had to buy several more for the nurses to take with them! It’s fun for kids and awesome as a means of therapy for elderly.

It does what it's intended to do, so I'm not mad at it
So I am an autistic adult who bought this to use as a stim toy. I was looking for something that I could maybe knead, cause I really like to knead things like clay and putty, but I wanted something that would last longer, obviously because clay dries out, and putty can get really dirty really fast and I don't like it when hair and stuff gets trapped in the putty. This isn't entirely the sane, but it does satisfy that need to mold things. It's also just satisfying to play with and I think a lot of that has to do with the sand inside of it. It feels really nice to stretch and squish it. As far as what it advertises, it's a stretchy banana. That's what I paid for and that's what I got, so as far as that goes I can't be mad. However, I do remember reading a few reviews beforehand saying that it had a strong chemical odor, and I didn't want to believe them, but it really kind of does. It smells almost like Pine-Sol or something. Like a lemon scented cleaning product. Not entirely unpleasant, but not welcome either. And that smell does transfer to your hands so I'm not sure if it's like residue from something from manufacturing, possibly used to clean it, or if it's how the rubber itself smells, but I would be careful giving this to kids regardless, because of the chemical odor. Also as far as durability goes, I've had it less than a day, and the green coloring on the ends is already starting to chip away. To me that's inconsequential, I don't really care, but if you do, there's your warning. Otherwise it seems durable enough. That being said, I don't know how long it will hold up after prolonged use, so I guess we will see.In conclusion, yeah it's a stretchy banana. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is a pretty great nan
Under first impressions this was probably one of the best purchases I've ever made, a stretchy banana that was super resilient and could take an extreme beating, all right sign me up, after much use the green has now entirely rubbed off and the upper layer of silicone has started peeling otherwise it doesn't show signs of ripping but can definitely tell given more time that it will eventually burst, given the price I will definitely buy another if it does break, great naner

Fun but won’t likely last long and may be defective from the start
I had one of these for a long time and was using it daily for all the zoom meetings I was on this past year. With constant kneading and gentle stretching to start, it really softens up and becomes more pliable. It finally started to leak sand so I bought this 12 pack to share with friends as well. My friend”s broke within the first 24 hours. I opened two for myself and both had small leaks of sand on the ends. The third was seems fine so far (it’s been two days) but I’m not sure about the other eight. I’ve been meaning to reach out to the company for compensation or something. I don’t know if they changed they’re product since my first purchase a few years back. All I can say, is if you’re lucky and get a good one, it’s great. Otherwise, be gentle and keep your expectations low.

Best funny little gift to give! It's addictive to play with!
I'm obsessed with these bananas. I discovered them first at a Party City store near my home and bought it to give away at a Christmas Bingo party. My family loved it so much, I couldn't even give it away. Found the package on Amazon and bought it with the intent to store it and give away for funny random gifts (like house warming parties, hostess gift, wedding/birthday gift extras, etc). I've already burned through that first 12pk. I was sightly unhappy with that first pack because the bananas had tags piercing through the actual banana, causing a tiny hole for sand to escape. This new pack has the bananas individually wrapped, no tags,no holes. Perfection! Thank you Stretchy banana company!
