Syma X56W Drones

It's no secret syma is by far the best drone maker on earth so I was expecting a lot out of it. But nothing like this. This thing is too much. It does everything. Flawlessly. It holds it's altitude within a half inch ALWAYS! Over hill over dale. Over water, fire, tall grass, ice, dirt, pavement, furniture, kitted blanket forts. Hovering or 20mph. It gives zero craps. You let go of the throttle at 10 feet and it stays 10 feet off the ground. Always. No matter what. God himself couldn't make this thing waiver an inch. If you've ever flown a high end $1,000 drone you'll really apreciate how much better this syma is than any other drone on earth. This new barometer thing syma uses to measure it's altitude makes high end sonar and radar drones look like a joke. Sonar gets lost if you fly over different texture. Flying from tall grass to water will knock a $300 parrot drone out of the sky and destroy it. This syma don't care how soft hard or reflective the ground is. It holds the altitude it's at until you make it go up or down. My 4 year old kid has been flying it non stop for 2 weeks now off an old worn out smart phone with no problems whatsoever. It's so slow and easy to maneuver. But if you use the remote control and switch it to go fast mode it'll outrun and out maneuver a 2 year old black lab.

Fast and durable. Easy to set up and operate. App or remote controlled. Love that it folds up for storage. Flight Time about 5 minutes. However it does come with two batteries that does take awhile to charge. This is a 720P HD camera so it’s not as great quality. Overall all it’s a nice drone and pretty fun.

Great beginner drone. Altitude hold is a big plus. The only issue so far is that the second battery has a loose wire and will not work when you put it in the drone. It works to charge and when you plug it in to the drone it works, but as soon as you try to close the battery compartment the drone goes dead. Other battery is working fine and gives a decent amount of flight time. Have not tried the camera outside yet. Would be 5 stars if both batteries would work.

The drone will not let you stop the props when sitting on the ground, it loses control due to a short range and the trim functions didn't have enough throw to get it to hoover correctly.UPDATE- I was contacted by the manufacturer due to this review. Their customer service was excellent and they sent me a replacement drone for my troubles. While I had trouble with the drone, Syma customer service has been excellent.

It's fun but wish it responded better to inputs and the manual was clearer on what the controls did. Possibly needs better conversion to English.

I bought this for my son and I to enjoy as soon as I open it up I noticed those dents scratches on the body next to the power button. Also there's dirt on the blades. The first time we tried to use it one of the rotors would not work.

The media could not be loaded. Minutes after receiving the drone I plugged batteries in and read the instructions. They were written better than expected! This like every Syma drone I own is meant to be a beginner drone or a toy drone.It works well and has solid flying time for its size. Approximately 7 minutes or so.The batteries are a bit odd compared to the newer Syma drones available. Instead of being an easy cartridge insert they require some fiddling and fitting. For this reason and the lack of auto take off button I only gave the review 4 stars.It has a solid altitude hold that functions in slight breezes outdoors and inside as well!This drone is seriously so much fun the video is grainy but honestly I did not buy this for the camera!Easy flying, solid instruction book and plenty of available YouTube footage for more learning.Its really a nice drone that my kids are already enjoying!My 10 year old daughter and 16 year old son are absolutely enjoying it!Be careful with winds, it's not meant for high winds and be careful inside it is powerful!The legs fold in and out and you have to make sure to do it in the right order! see the picture attached here

Was a gift and the user liked it, but he lost control of it the first use after letting it get too far away to control it and he had to wait a day for neighbors to give it back to him. Read instructions!
