Coat yourself with thick fleece
I was really impressed with this jacket when I received it. It's nice and thick, but soft. the pockets are well thought out, and there's even an earbud thread hole on the Left bicep pocket,so you can run your earbuds through the pocket. It also has a dual zippered rear pocket (Accessible from both sides) that is similar to like a bird game pouch (although not as big) that way, when you have gloves or hats to store, they're not bulging out of your front pockets. Pretty well thought out, I do like it.The quality seems very nice, I like the way the cuffs are doubled over, and the sleeves seem just the right length. It's very warm.About the only improvement would be to have liners in the sleeves, but it's not that big of a deal, it's a really nice jacket for the price. And, it's not a huge issue, but my jacket came with green zippers, not the contrasting black zippers shown in the picture of the product.Note: When I marked "Fit as expected) it was because I looked at the sizing chart and ordered the applicable size. I suggest going a size up. I wear an XL but I ordered the 2XL, which fit just fine.Update Jan 2025: I STILL have this jacket, and it's still in good shape. I have to say it's held the test of time, albeit I don't wear it every day.The only improvement is that I wish they'd offer this very same jacket but without the hood, or make the hood zipper detachable, you could store it in the rear double pocket if need be..

My story of fleece and why this is great
I had a Columbia Sportswear fleece zip up for maybe ten years and the zipper finally broke. It always looked a little ratty, but it was comfy. Inexplicably, Columbia now has narrower shoulders and upper arms, so the new ones are too tight--even if the outside "finish" looks nicer. So I tried Campmor which used to be a go to for this type of product. I didn't find the old private label items they used to stock, just Columbia, North Face, etc. I also have a Lands End fleece jacket but the interior nylon lining makes me sweat. Finally, I made my way to Amazon and tried this one. It looks nice, it fits great, and it has a hoodie. The hoodie is nice because you can use it in bitter cold, or it just acts as a neckwarmer if not pulled up. The fleeze is cozy warm but not so warm that I can't wear it indoors in the winter--I do. I'm not sure they need so many pockets, but I actually use one in the back for my hat so the side pocket doesn't bulge out. My only suggestion for improvement would be to move the hand pockets a little lower. They're usable, but high. Oh, and the arms are long. I am tucking them in over 2 inches and will sew in at some point. My old fleece jack was an XL and it fit, but I'm up to XXL t-shirts. I'm 5'10, 250 lbs, and the XXL fits me well with plenty of room. For wind, use a shell on top of it. Despite the caveats, I am entirely happy with this jacket.

Not quite a Winter stand-alone...
This jacket seems well made but does not quite live up to the claims in description. First, it claims it is windproof. Not quite. There are some pulls on the bottom to shore up the jacket from wind blowing up from that direction. But there is no lining in this fleece. It is not windproof. So, it falls short of the claim. Thus the 4 star rating. If they did not misleadingly claim this, I would give it a 5.I wandered around the neighborhood in the cold night air last night. The jacket was fully zipped and the hood was used. This is not a miracle jacket. It is as warm as its construction allows, but it is not a stand-alone jacket for Winter weather. It is a good Autumn jacket, but in the Winter you will need to layer up your protection. It is comfortable, seems well sewn and made of good materials. It is completely fleece, no lining, many pockets and is warm enough for what it is. I think you will like it if you buy it. Sizing seems close to normal. If you want to layer it as the base layer then your normal size will be fine. If you want to layer it using it as a top layer then maybe try a size larger. Fit is not loose or tight. I am 5' 9" and 175 pounds...average...and a large fits fine. I will surely use mine as an under layer though. It is not large enough to fit over the top of much of a thick sweater or anything like that for me. Overall, a very nice product.

These are great! I don't understand some of the other reviews...
I bought 3 colors of this jacket at once. With Amazon's return policy, I figure if they fit and I love them then I dont have to order more later. I bought the 2x in each. I'm 6'2" 280lbs, which includes a little extra love around the middle but muscular build. The jackets fit great, almost slimming. I will use these for hunting/ tactical gear, the pockets are a nice addition. The back pocket is great for gloves, saves the sides pockets and no worrk if I sit on them. I love the double front zipper that a lot of people complained about. IME double zipper work great when "outdoors" and you need access below the belt. Also makes access easier for carrying concealed, I dont have to open my entire jacket to sit in my truck, or any other reason. Surprisingly warm, and greatly wind resistant. My only test is to try and wear them out! I guess we will see. Oh and yes, maybe some sort of closure for the hood, but i love the bill on it, makes it compatable with ball caps. Did I mention I like the jacket? Ok Thanks!
