Product Description d-c-fix window films d-c-fix window & glass films Attractive window decoration meets elegant privacy protection - this is exactly what the window films from d-c-fix combine in a perfect way. Whether frosted glass look, abstract patterns or motifs corresponding to the seasons, there is a suitable design for every taste. The window films from d-c-fix come in different designs: Self Adhesive, Static & Static Premium. In addition, functional films are also part of the d-c-fix range. Self-adhesive window films The application of the self-adhesive films is particularly easy, because neither special tools nor special materials such as Glue required. The film only needs to be cut according to the surface to be glued, then remove the backing paper, spray with a little water and then position the material on the window. With a squeegee, the film can be painted and thus the formation of air bubbles can be avoided. The glass films are available in numerous different structures such as pearl or ice pattern, a frosted glass look, as well as designs that range from flower meadows to ornamental patterns. Static window films - static self-adhesive To attach the static adhesive window film, as well as the self-adhesive films, no tools or special glue are required. For processing, the glass surface is simply sprayed with a little water and the film is then placed on it. With a squeegee, water and air can be spread out. Just as easy as the installation is the removal. The film can even be reused several times. The films are available in a variety of different designs that protect not only from prying eyes, but also from UV radiation. Static premium window films - static self-adhesive The glass films from the Static Premium collection are just as easy to apply, remove and recycle as the static adhesive films and also protect against UV radiation. However, the films in this premium collection are slightly thicker and are therefore even easier to work with. Attractive and effective embossing with real glass character also underline an elegant look. Functional films The focus is not always on visual enhancement of window surfaces or privacy protection, sometimes the focus is on functional aspects such as UV or heat protection. Here the functional films from d-c-fix are an attractive solution. Whether heat, glare or privacy protection: the static or self-adhesive functional films improve the indoor climate and thus contribute to a feel-good atmosphere. The d-c-fix shatter protection film protects against injuries in case of glass breakage. The advantages of the d-c-fix window films Quick and easy to use An absolute plus point of the D-C-fix window films is their quick and easy application. No special know-how or special tools are required for installation. Only a little water is needed for easier positioning. Privacy screen and window decoration in one Effective privacy and attractive designs? The window films from d-c-fix can do both, because no matter whether frosted glass effect or tendril pattern - curious eyes are elegantly repelled. Easy to clean Do you want the glass films to stay beautiful for as long as possible? No problem. They are very easy to clean. The films can be wiped clean with warm water and a little detergent or other commercially available non-abrasive detergents. Many more stubborn dirt can also be removed with alcohol-based detergents. Review: Perfect results if you take your time - Just fitted mine stuck down perfectly and no bubbles, looks great. My advice; leave it in a warm room for an hour or two before you use it, don't try to put it on a radiator or anything else which is hot to speed the process up. whilst your waiting clean the window or glass you are going to stick it to thoroughly and I mean right into the corners, I used a car window cleaner which worked fine. When your ready offer it up to the surface you want to cover and cut it with a pair of scissors just roughly over size, I cut mine 1/4 - 1/2 inch over size all round, do this with the backing paper still attached as this has grid lines printed on it which will help you cut fairly straight. Peel the backing paper from one corner only and stick the corner to the window, then start peeling the backing paper away a bit at a time lining the film up as you go make sure you have a flexible scraper or spatula or something similar to go over it as you are sticking it down, if you get any big bubbles or creases then gently pull the film away just enough to ease them out and re-stick it using the flexible spatula to help you. Make sure you have a new blade for your Stanley or craft knife and trim the excess film away all around the edges of the window and just pull away the excess film. Rub it over with a rag and if there are any very small bubbles just use a pin to pierce them or nick them with the knife blade and rub them over with a rag. I finished mine off by using a hot air gun the type decorators use and I used it on a warm setting ( I stress warm) and rubbed it all over with a rag to make sure everything was stuck as it should. This type of film does not apply well to cold or dirty greasy surfaces so do the prep and take your time and you will get perfect results but if you are like 90 per cent of the population and have no patience then ask someone who likes decorating to do it for you. Review: Can't go Wrong for the Price - Just Try Not to Crease it - Firstly, this is more than easy enough to apply by one person. I used it to stick over my transparent glass desk, making it translucent. It took me approximately an hour from opening this package till I had it fully stuck on my desk, and that was with sticking it on both sides of the glass as I felt that one layer was still too transparent! Except for a few air bubbles that were easy enough to remove with a plastic spatula, the film stuck down fairly easy; I fully cleaned both sides of the glass, cut a piece of film that was an appropriate size (I found it easiest to cut a piece that was too large, then trim it afterwards with a Stanley knife, that way if it's a bit off you don't end up with missing areas). If you start on one corner and peel it back as you stick it down, while removing air bubbles as you go along, it's relatively simple to do - and looks pretty decent for the price! I am, however, giving this 4 stars as the last 10cm or so of the film was too damaged to be of any use

Very happy and would definitely order again
Arrived quickly and packaged well with bubble wrap and brown paper which was a good job as postman forced it through letterbox instead of knocking the door and may have bent it had bubble wrap not prevented this. I wasn't sure what to expect but this product was everything I hoped for. The plastic is good quality, easy to apply to window (I just used a cloth but made sure window had been thoroughly cleaned first) easy to adjust if mistakes made and the final product has given me the privacy I needed. Very happy.

Don't waste your time or your money. Please.
This was a bad purchase from start to finish. The product arrived in an oversized box but was still crushed. However, I persisted. "I can smooth that out when I apply it" I figured. When I unrolled the film, it was buckled and coming away from the backing paper. I left it unrolled in a warm room overnight, hoping that would help smooth things out, but it was the same the next day, just less tightly curled. I cut it as per the instructions (which were minimal, but that's what YouTube is for, right?) and applied it to the scrupulously cleaned and squeegee'd windows, only the find that the film was warped and would not sit flat. I popped airbubbles that I could not work out, but it was still buckled and there was a large wedge shape that would not stick onto the bottom window. "No problem", I thought, figuring it may adhere overnight once it had a chance to settle. The next morning, not only was the wedge shape considerably bigger on the bottom window, but the opposing top window, which had stuck down beautifully the day before, had dramatically come away from the window also, and condensation had caused the film to become unstuck around the edges. The application of this product is not at all difficult, and I'm not overly stupid. I'm also pretty darned persistent and optimistic that things will work out if I do the work. But in this instance, there was nothing I could do to fix this. The fault is definitely with the product itself. I'm not sure if I got an old roll from the back of the stockpile, but if anyone else purchases this product (which I would strongly advise against) and their roll of film looks like the one I purchased when they unroll it, I urge them to return it immediately for a refund rather than waste time applying it, only to have to take it off their windows, bin it, and buy another roll elsewhere.

Random yellow patches
Ordered two rolls. Opened the first one and no issues. Opened 2nd roll just outside return window - has all these weird yellow patches.

As Mary Poppins say "perfect in every way"
Perfect for keeping out prying eyes, I've put it in my kitchen, it still lets in enough light, especially at dusk, that room is blinded by the sun normally, but now I can do stuff without squinting my eyes. It's so good I've ordered another roll for my bedroom, net curtains are just so dated. I managed to do this with the help of a ruler, scissors, loyalty card and a Stanley blade, by MYSELF, not sure why folk are struggling. As suggested by a previous buyer, make sure the roll isn't freezing and it will prevent bubbles, measure twice, cut once, keep it on the backing paper as you go along, trying to hang a giant piece without having the backing paper is just foolishness, you'll end up in a right two and eight!

Used on bathroom window
Used on bathroom window as I don't have curtains or blind up. Works well, put 2 layers on though

Quick easy application
A fine product, really easy to install, just use a couple of weights to measure it all out on the backing paper the cut it, peel off only an inch or two to apply and align on your surface then pull the backing down as you use a credit card to push out any bubbles etc. Really quick application, one cupboard front took me minutes. I have knocked it down a star as I wanted a more blocked off view, with the 'milky' description I was hoping that would be OK, alas it's still quite see through.

Teleurstellend; resultaat niet straks (strepen, bubbels e.d.). Heel erg jammer.

Did what I needed it to
I recently bought a house that has a panel of windows in the garage door, and a garage side door with a window that goes directly outside. I'm a bit paranoid about people peeking in to see what I have and needed something to haze over the windows. 6 of the garage door windows are glass while 2 are plexiglas. This stuff went up very easily, though you'll probably have to play around with it your first piece. The curl kind of is a pain in the butt to deal with, so I'd suggest laying the pieces you want to put up under something to flatten them first. I wasn't patient enough for that so put them up as soon as I cut them to size. Peeling the paper backing off will make the film very static-y so keep that in mind. This definitely is not a vinyl cling. The sticky side is quite sticky. Your best bet to be bubblefree is to align at the top only in the top two corners press those, and then using your fingers only, press all the way across. Using your fingers only, go back and forth about an inch at a time down. Any bubbles that come up while you do this you can easily press and massage out. Very happy with the end result. It obscures pretty much everything and is like 'Mr. Magoo' vision wherever it's up. All I could see from the outside looking through it was a hazy red blob which was my car. If you don't cut quite to size, you may have tiny slivers of uncovered pieces between the film and window edge which really nosy people could peek through and see. I had this on my side door and to solve I just used some electrical tape to cover up those sections. Overall great product!
