Challenging but worth it
Quality of the Witches Cat jigsaw is very good. It's a challenge to build the jigsaw itself, which is slightly different to the small image on the box. Once completed - you then have to solve 8 clues -the answers are all numbers, and those numbers correspond to a jigsaw piece which you then remove from the completed jigsaw and put to one side. I bought this for my 80 year old mother who is an experienced jigsawer, and usually polishes off 1000 piece jigsaws in no time. While she managed to create the jigsaw, solving the clues requires a certain type of mind set. A decade ago she would probably have rattled through the clues , but she's not quite as with it these days. I managed to solve 6 of the clues and that got us to the final solution. Very satisfying - but I could kick myself for not figuring out the two clues that led to the last two pieces, even though by that stage I already had the pieces set aside, I really wanted to know how the clues resulted in the respective numbers on them. This is a great jigsaw for lockdown with people who like a challenge and one to get other family members involved. Not one for the younger kids, you definitely do need some mental arithmetic and knowledge of basic decyphering. There's no language barrier at all in this jigsaw - the clues work in any Western language that uses Arabic numerals. Hope this review hasn't revealed any spoilers for you. We will be buying more in the series .

What a jigsaw!
Not quite finished this puzzle but it is one of the most enjoyable puzzles i have ever done; i am just loving it! Initially, i thought the picture on the box lid bore no resemblance to my jigsaw so i started off blind. Once i had done some, i realised the box lid was helpful after all.It is difficult enough to be a challenge but hasnt got huge areas which are tedious (previously i have done huge areas of sky, sea, trees etc where you are just shape matching)This jigsaw is actually really interesting to do! Whether i solve the puzzle at the end or not remains to be seen, but wont take away from the fact i have totally loved doing this jigsaw

Really unusual jigsaw and enjoyed doing it
I'm glad I hadn't really read the reviews before I bought this - as glancing through them now, can see the massive spoilers others have included.Yes. The jigsaw is slightly different from the front of the box. So do not buy the jigsaw because of the cat. I think the creators really need to think about how much jigsaw-lovers might love their cats (I am one of them!) - or that the sentient creature in the middle of the picture might have been the attraction for a lot of people. However, it's well made and as long as you look at an individual piece and pick out the colours of where it might fit in, it comes together nicely.I think this jigsaw is a nice one to do as a pair, as you discuss where bits might go and what might be going on.The ending didn't really work which did feel like a bit of a letdown (deducted one star), but it definitely wouldn't put me off recommending this, or buying another exit puzzle.

If a jigsaw and an escape room had a baby...
Normally when you do a jigsaw, you follow the picture on the front of the box. This jigsaw is very different. The picture is there as a guide, but there are significant differences in the end result. These differences form the basis of 6 or so puzzles that are hidden in the completed jigsaw, which, when put together give you the answer you need to escape the situation you are in - in this case, you've been poisoned and need to find an antidote. The jigsaw is a challenge and the puzzles are tricky but great fun. The only downside is, that once you've solved it you know the answer and are unlikely to want to do it again.Having said that, we spent a good couple of days from start to finish so it was good value. We've since done 2 more of these and have another one on the way.

Solving the puzzles when the jigsaw is complete is fun
The idea behind these jigsaws is good. You complete the puzzle then look for clues in the picture to determine particular numbers. Then you search for the pieces with those numbers on them and put these pieces together to solve the overall mystery. A drawback is that these puzzle have to be quite dark so that the mystery solving pieces are not apparent without first solving the clues.

Great concept
The idea behind this jigsaw is that the picture you make is taken a few seconds after the picture on the box. Most things are in the same place but something has happened. It was good making the jigsaw up and the pieces are excellent quality as you would expect of Ravensburger.Once the jigsaw is complete there are 6 puzzles to solve. We attempted to solve these first as a family and didn't quite succeed however, within the box there is a QR code to scan which takes you to a website where additional help can be found. Once we got our heads around their way of thinking we managed to solve some of the clues ourselves.Only negative was that some of the pieces were a bit dark we usually prefer a bright jigsaw.

I reall my enjoyed this puzzle
This puzzle is colourful and fun.Ok love the fact the picture is slightly different from the puzzle.I even liked the 8 math problems in the puzzle.I didn't like the exit puzzle storey and the solution. These were weak but not the main point of the activity.I recommend to any puzzler who wants a fun colourrful puzzle.PS after this I ordered 2 more puzzles like this one.

So fun!
This is the third puzzle we buy of this serie. We do it in family, mother father and 6yo. It takes a few days, and we really have fun! We loved that the riddles to solve are not always the same as the previous ones, we were really surprised and we were proud when we found the solution without help!Totally recommend this puzzle!
