Not a serious headline - springs bought for hobby prorct. Fast service, fine product.

Not quite what I expected but I may be able to use in some of my multi media art. Sometimes it is good to let things rust, and now always be shiny, and this assortment seems to rust easily if left in moisture.

It's a large sandwich bag of small springs. The bulk of the contents are compression springs. There are maybe a dozen extension springs in the bag and zero torsion springs. Also, be prepared to untangle the springs. Know this before buying. Otherwise, spend the money and buy the specific spring that you need.

I should have read the reviews. Not a single torsion spring and this is the reason I bought the package. Beware of the picture showing torsion springs in the package, because there are none.

I know not to expect a lot from random assortments. But this was advertised as "amazingly assorted small extension compression and torsion springs". The first problem comes with the definition of small. While there are indeed a number of small springs in the collection many are the size of my finger. Not my idea of "small" springs. And as to extension, compression and torsion springs, out of the 101 springs, about 90 are compression, with 10 extension springs (all the same size) and I found exactly 1 torsion spring. I guess that's where the 1 in 101 comes from. Largely useless for the purpose I was looking for.

Great assortment of compression springs, I'd say 90%, a few were un-paired, but plenty of others to choose from. A small handful of extension springs, and only 6 torsion springs, 4 of which were the same, so not ideal if you're looking for those. I only needed compression springs for my projects, so very happy with what I got for the price. ADDED JAN 2019: I just bought a second bag of these for good measure after seeing how expensive springs are elsewhere. This time I was curious to count exactly what comes in the bag. There were a total of 593 springs, the net weight of which was 185g. There were 33 tension springs, 4 identical torsion springs, and 556 compression springs (192 of which were the tiny grain-of-rice sized ones). FYI.

I bought these to replace the pair of springs in a hatch latch that flew apart because it had no back on it. This happened over a big diesel engine so with much effort I did manage to find one spring of the pair for comparison sake to go by selecting from this bag of springs. I found about 8 that would work and so replaced the 2 needed and reassembled the latch and also making a back for it to keep things in place should it need to be removed again. This bag of springs should be able to get you out of a tight spot in some cases, not all, but is worth having on hand. Also, thankfully on cleanup in my shop I found the missing spring, about 20 feet away, that I will put away tagged with the mate for later use should it be needed. The cost of this bag of springs is cheap compared to the price of the obsolete latch which enters the realm of unobtanium. Highly recommended!

Great variety but those springs are small, I wish they were a little bigger, but handy anyways.
