This is the best Bake from Scratch volume yet.
If you read or buy one baking book each year, it's got to be this series. The recipes are fabulous, the photos are elegant and everything is delicious. The cakes here are kind of tough, involving lots of steps, but there are things in here for the novice baker too. There are some unexpected savories as well - a munchkin style donut hole stuffed with tomato and cheese, a tomato upside-down cake, along with some muffins that are simply amazing.The instructions are very clear here, and for more complex recipes multiple photos are included. This is really a terrific book and I can't wait to make more of the recipes.

Still love them!!
I enjoy this baking book and so does everyone else! The recipes are easy to follow and I really enjoy all the pictures. You don’t find a whole many baking books that show you the step by step process in baking an item. I truly appreciate when they do that though!

As I'm a huge fan of the magazine Bake From Scratch, the minute Brian Hart Hoffman published this beauty, I swooped it up as a Christmas gift for myself! And of course my family & I will reap the most excellent benefits from the delicious recipes.

Just as good as volume 2, better then volume 1 (At least for my tastes)
I have already made a decent number of recipes from this book. Just like the previous books it has a picture for every recipe. I have made: Sourdough loaf cake (better with age, don't over bake) Sticky toffee pudding (Very popular, though I wish I had actually used unsalted butter like it said) Double Gingerbread scones (Decent) Orange butter cookies (quite good, I adapted the recipe so did 1/2 orange and 1/2 peppermint by adding 3 crushed peppermint candies to the dough instead of zest and peppermint Andies for chocolate, both were great) Sourdough cheese crackers (Decent, better with age, not a bad use for discard sourdough)

É muito maior do que pensei e tem receitas óptimas! O livro em si é de excelente qualidade: papel, encadernação, fotos, adorei! Para quem gosta de livros de culinária como eu, é imprescindível na colecção, pena não haver uma versão em português, mas mesmo em inglês, vou certamente comprar os restantes volumes!

Great selection of recipes
I waited too long to get myself a copy of this! the recipes look really easy to follow and I'm looking forward to a baking day when I can put some of these to the test. The photography is good and recipes are logged in easy to view sections. I have other volumes in my wishlist but this as a 1st acquisition exceeds my expectations so I will probably add to my ever growing collection of baking books!
