it was easy to use and worked well filled with sand.

We fitted the 7’ real tree into the pot and filled it full of water. My husband set up the lights on the tree and left it for me to decorate tomorrow. A couple of hours later the tree is on it's side on the floor and the water is everywhere!This product is advertised as suitable for trees up o 8' but the pot is too small for a 7’ tree. It becomes unbalanced so easily even when full of water. Give this pot a miss unless you are going to use it for a much smaller tree 3’ or 4’ might just about stay upright!

This is great, it looks like a real barrel and is well worth the money, it is very sturdy and supports a good sized tree.

Don't buy this - it's rubbish! I bought one of these last year just before Christmas and it worked really well. It is sturdy and well made. As we have two trees I bought another earlier this year to ensure I got it in time. Shouldn't have bothered. It's a much inferior product to the previous one, lighter and very plasticky. Where the previous one had a proper metal spike in the bottom of the pot, this one has plastic teeth which break immediately you put the tree in first time. The metal bolts in this version don't fit the holes well enough and when tightened actually cause the plastic holes to stress and in one instance the hole just disintegrated, leaving two others to try to hold the tree. This wouldn't accommodate a five/six foot tree, never mind an eight foot one. In the end I gave up and through the thing out the back door, and went back to using the tried and trusted spike on a stand. Almost £28 for this poor quality product - I don't think so!

Lovely little stand, however far too small to hold our real tree, even though it was within the size described. Used instead as a planter.

The top retaining ring split the first time we used it!
