Targus 3D Protection Case and Stand for iPad Air 2 (THZ52202US),Black

Had this cover for 18 months now, and there’s little to complain about.-looks good-slim-easy to work with-excellent speaker enhancement-Protects the iPad very well-Never come loose or off-Room for a screen protector-Great general scratch and bash protectionNot so good:-Has got a bit tired around the edges and the material rolling part at the top has loosened up a fair bit.-Doesn’t auto off or on-Untrustworthy stand unless in quite upright position.To be honest, most of my iPadding is done with it full open, and on the sofa or flat on a desk, so the stand slipping has not been a great issue. The speaker cupping really enhances the sound. I still remember being blown away by the impact when I first used it 18 months ago.As I write this review, I am now thinking that I am going to need to buy another one. In many aspects it provides much of what I want: Slim, light, fits well, allows a screen protector, and REALLY helps the sound. Yes I’d like a UAG, they look great and fix a couple of my grumbles with this one, but look quite bulky, and don’t cup those 4 speakers like this Targus one does. Double or triple the price too.

Work upgraded my older iPad 4th Gen to a new iPad Air 2. For my iPad 4 I used the Speck Pixel Skin HD case which i loved for its overall protection and latching front cover. Unfortunately that model is not available for the iPad Air 2 so I decided to try this Targus 3D Protection case for my new one. I went with this model for a few reasons: the front cover can be secured closed, the case offers good protection on all sides, and the rear case actually comes up and over the screen edge a little.The elastic clasp for the front cover is really nice, keeping it secured closed (in case I drop it), and also allowing you to secure it against the back of the ipad when fully open. the material feels like typical plastic but seems durable and thick for good fall protection. I liked the idea of case coming up and over the edge of the screen a little as I feel this offers the best protection for the screen. The inside of the case and front cover has a rubbery texture. When the cover is tri-folded to stand the iPad up, it felt very stable and had a good angle to it. There is enough gap between the case and the headphone jack and lightning port where I wouldn't think there would be a problem hooking various connectors up to them. The case attempts to redirect the speaker output towards the front of the iPad, seems to work pretty well.I only have a few minor complaints about this case. First the volume and sleep/wake buttons are very stiff and can be hard to use at times. Second, the fold of the front cover acts as the protection for the left side of the iPad. So when you open it the left edge of the iPad is visible except the corners where the rear case still provides protection. The transition from the protected corner to the iPad edge is pretty rough so trying the hold the iPad from that left side can be uncomfortable at times. I would rather the case run down the entire left side of the iPad so there is a solid and consistent edge to hold when opened.Overall this case is exactly what I needed. I feel comfortable that it will offer full protection of my iPad from reasonable drops, can easily be turned into a stand, and Amazon had a great price!

bought this to replace my snugg cover which had worn . originally i bought one for my ipad mini and loved it so much i went hunting for one for my ipad pro. i love it its perfect, not awkward nor bulky and closes nicely. and doesnt obstruct the screen. Whats not to love?

Just installed this case on my iPad Air 2 and it fit perfectly. Complete rubbery edge protection that protects the Air 2. Great looking. Better than the smart case Apple sells. Much cheaper as well.

Did not fit iPad Air2 as stated in the product description & packaging. Also not as sturdy of a case as I would have liked. Had to return.

Just got it today and it looks and feels great! The material feels strong and does not compromise the looks like getting those defender kind. Similar to the ones made of leather but this one feels significantly stronger, including the front and back. The clip to keep it closed its great, I do wish it would turn on when opening but no big deal, as for now I am very happy with the purchase.UPDATE:The stand feature does not always work well which I use often, it falls. This lowers my rating to a 4 star, other than that the case works great.

Perfect fit for iPad mini series.Material used and finishing are good.It encases the unit nicely with soft but strong material.This one has protected by iPad from falls many times. I wish I had bought this one earlier than other cases I bought to protect the mini.

Best protected case I've had. I wish it had place for the pen but besides that, it can handle modest accidents without serious resoults.
