Harlem Boyz was just what I needed!
Shortly before reading this novel, I had completed another and was a bit disappointed. I had already purchased this ebook at the same time, and was about to begin reading another, but something about this book caught my eye. The four friend dynamic displayed on the cover was reminiscent of L.M. Ross's The Long Blue Moan (which I thoroughly enjoyed years ago) and my interest was peaked at how a modern day spin on this form of story telling would turn out.Let me first say, I had never heard of Armani Williams prior to reading this book, but upon finishing it, I was compelled to share my satisfaction with all my friends and associates in social media world. To me, the book was near perfect. Here we have four homies from Harlem, Damon, Malcolm,Shawn and Kevin going through life as best friends experiencing all the highs and modern day lows of SGL love, life, struggle, hurt, insecurities and dark pasts. Through out, these brothers loved, upheld, defended and supported each other through all of the challenges they each had to face. As the reader, I felt I was completely along for the ride, feeling joy, pain, disappointment, anger and love for these young man as they ventured through life together. These fellas were SO REAL to me. Nothing about them was outlandish and yet there stories were still so intriguing, taking what meets the eyes, and examining what lies below the surface. I also loved the fact that this story is SO MODERN....it's like it could completely be straight out of 2014 with all its music media and social references!I don't wanna give too much of the plot away, but each brotha has a story to tell, all entertaining and all thought provoking. Depending on who you are as a person, you may side with or be a fan of one or more of the fellas more than the others, but you will absolutely love the brotherhood these fellas display, something that in this current day we don't see nearly enough of. At such an awesome price, you can't afford not to pick this book up.It's a fast read, and definitely a page turner.Kudos to Armani for a great new addition to my SGL book collection, can't wait til the SEQUEL!!!!

Another banger!
This was another great novel from Mr. Williams. I could definitely see the growth in his writing. Harlem Boyz took me on a wild, crazy ride as it dealt with the life of four best friends--Shawn, Malcolm, Damon and Kevin. My favorite character would probably be Malcolm, with Shawn being a close second. Although I have a strong dislike for cheaters, I was hoping that Shawn and Jamon worked out their issues. I was also hoping that Malik and Malcolm could work it out. I guess Malik was needed to help Malcolm get his life together. I know I shouldn't judge, but Kevin should have left upon the first sign of danger. I have a close friend that was in a relationship like that, so I understand. I guess everyone has to go through their own things during their own time. Damon is to prove that just because you have money doesn't mean that you're happy. I loved this story. I loved the real relationship between the friends. I love how the friends kept it real with each other, telling each other not what they wanted to hear, but what they needed to hear. At times, reading this reminded me of my three close friends and the conversations we have once we get together. Glad to see that there will be a part two, hopefully I don't have to wait too long lol. Great job, Mr. Williams.

An unforgettable journey.
OMG! I truly loved this book. Harlem Boyz is definately a must read if you are looking for an honest, emotional, endearing and loving story among four best friends. Although having four major characters invovled in the drama of living and loving in the concrete Jungle of New York City could have been a disaster, Armani Williams took those four major characters and the back drop of New York City and developed a story that was well-written, fun, engaging, sexy and totally believable. Mr. Williams has proven himself to be a great writer that took the time to develop the characters and plotline so that a good story could be told in less than 300 hundred pages. I loved the fact that the conflict of the story deals with issues that are universal and happens to all races and sexual orientations. This book will have you putting yourself in the characters shoes and trying to figure out what would you do in those challenging circumstances. Regardless of the sexual orientaion of the characters in this book, the dynamics of it all was that everyone wants to love and be loved. It's that simple! I was in love with this book from beginning to end and I cannot wait to see if there is a part 2. I pray to god that there is!

Interesting Good Read
This was a good read in the beginning I almost stopped reading because I'm not into materialistic or superficial things and that's how the writer started out giving us all the superficial all the materialistic things. the story lions were good it was a bit confusing when you read about the characters then you read about their backgrounds and having wealth teachers financial aid people on and the cost of living in New York is so high and some of this is just not not matching but nonetheless the store was good
