Through one generation and still going strong.
In 1975 we got a set (no 6" bread plate or bowl but the 10 " and 8" plates)with a similar blue design for our wedding. Now we are going to give those and these to my youngest daughter for her wedding. No, it is not the only gift but after eating on the things for over 40 years and only losing one to breakage we thought we would give the girl something even she can't break. Funny, every time we thought about getting new day to day tableware we would find a clay, plastic or other "in" plates then find out they would get so hot in the microwave that they would fry food. One mexican set even sparked. So back to Corelle. And we still have the other set we got way back then in the box. So I added to it by buying the Red pattern. Interesting how things work out. These stay cool in the microwave, but don't put in the oven, They don't scratch, and most of ours have been dropped many times. The 6" plate is real small so we bought the 8" on another order. That makes a great lunch plate. Also the bowls are just the right size for soup or cereal. The cups are nice every day stuff too. I like them. I don't think you can go wrong with these for every day table settings.

Corelle Livingware - True Blue pattern
I needed dishes desperately - all of my china broke over the years (I'm hard on dishes) and I was using plastic dollar store plates. So when I saw this on Amazon and fell in love with the pattern, I grabbed it. I just received them and they are wonderful! I like the pattern and the way the plates coordinate. I got it for only $30 so it cost less than $2 per piece. Score! I'm very happy.I got the True Blue pattern - kind of reminds me of the blue/white dishes my grandmother had, but these were a lot less expensive and of course, being Corelle Livingware, are break-resistant. Definitely recommend this pattern - it looks very classy and more expensive than it is.

True Blue is Truly Wonderful
Loving my new dishes! The "cobalt" blue is not quite as vibrant as I was expecting, it is nonetheless lovely and I really do love the pattern. At once modern and traditional, the "True Blue" pattern strikes me as a good pair of jeans; you can dress them up or down. As advertised, they are lightweight and stack well. I bought three sets, (total of 12 place settings), and I have so much height left in my cabinets, I may well buy another. Knowing Corelle, I can see these lasting me many, many years to come. What a relief to no longer cringe every time I accidentally bump a dish on the granite counter. After having my supply of dishes dwindle to a few, pathetic, mismatched, chipped items, these are a welcome addition to my home. The best part is they don't get hot in the microwave, even the mugs. I was a bit concerned about the mugs, as they are not made from the same material, but have been pleased. The handle is particularly comfortable, and I know the dark blue color will mean no staining. Overall, this set is highly recommended.

Love Corelle, design is tolerable
I love Corelle! It's lightweight and durable. However, I like to use ceramic knives and that is what did my other Corelle plates in, as in the knife can cut deep. I purchased this b/c it was cheap. I am going to try using just regular silverware knives vs my ceramic. I am trying to get better at using a cutting board for my ceramic knives.I liked the pattern on line vs in real life, however, I was looking for a bargain. I do love Corelle, I just wish they had better patterns. I have no idea how they decide on their patterns but, they should change. :)

Versatile and Durable Product
I have used Corelle exclusively for the past 39 years. I had two sets and some serving pieces of the original Old Towne Blue which were received as a wedding gift. I still have a few pieces but the most often used pieces were worn around the edges after about 20 years so I bought two sets of a beige pattern with a blue and pink floral design around the edges. I used that set for another 18 years and just recently sorted out the most worn pieces and just kept the pieces that are still in good condition. I really wanted the new square Corelle dish sets, either Blushing Rose or Kyoto Leaves but couldn't justify the price when I was just going to use them for everyday. I have a complete set of more expensive Corelle I use for special occasions. They have a ruffled rim around the dinner plates and a pretty blue floral pattern. Anyway, I saw this new blue pattern, True Blue and decided I liked it and would buy it for everyday use. It was on my wish list and before I could buy it, I was shopping at my local chain super store and decided to look at their Corelle just to see what the patterns looked like in person. I found two boxes of the True Blue for $29.99 each. I was really surprised to find it locally for a better price than here. Needless to say, I bought the two sets at my local store. Found no problems with any of the pieces when I opened the boxes and have been using them now for about 2 weeks. The dishes were made in the USA and the mugs say China, but the color of my mugs perfectly matches the trim on the dishes. In the last almost 40 years, I have only ever broken about 3 or 4 pieces and one bowl turned up with a sliver off of the rim after some busy holiday usage. I have dropped many that landed flat and weren't even damaged. The several broken ones were accidentally hit or landed on the rim around the edge. When broken, they usually don't end up in sharp pieces or shards. The ones I broke crumbled into a pile of material resembling coarse sand. I just vacuumed it up. I also use mine in the microwave all of the time. I have never had one break in the microwave. I also have put the serving pieces in a 250-300 degree oven to keep side dishes warm while I prepared other foods for a holiday dinner.

The best
I have been using a white Corelle set for my family over the last few years, that was a old set of my mothers. Slowly bowls were lost... as that happens with kids I guess. I bought this set with the blue pattern as I thought it would look nice mixed and matched with the plain white ones I already had. They do look nice together. They really don't break. I can't think of ever having one break, but a lot of other non Corelle cups and dishes have been broken in our crazy house with the big family, and young kids.

Cette vaisselle est très belle . C’est léger et on peut empiler plusieurs assiettes dans un espace restreint.

This set was just beautiful. I'm really pleased with the quality and the print is perfect. The mugs are a solid blue which turned out to be a surprise but looks very nice with the set. I only wish there was that next size plate for this set...maybe I missed it :)
