Great PTAC
Ordered this unit to replace a 17 year old Carrier PTAC for my sunroom that needed a Freon charge and a new thermostat. Other than a little rough handling by the shipper, it was a perfect replacement and fired right up with 46 degree cold air out the grill. Had one cool morning since installation and it delivered very warm air that brought the sunroom up to comfort very quickly. I added a new Amazon smart thermostat to the unit and it became a perfect combination. The unit is in a 200 square foot sunroom with 14 foot ceiling and 11 full size windows facing west and has NO problem keeping the temperature at set point. Would highly recommend at this point.By the way...... Part of the shipping damage was a cut power cord. Called Amana support and they promptly sent me a new cord at no charge. Service that I would expect and I appreciate that.

Kinda klunky
Not a smooth transition from off to on and vice versa in Auto. Looking for endurance, hope I get it.

Noisy not automatic
I bought this to replace another PTAC 15,000 btu heat pump. The old one worked great until a weld broke off and couldn’t be repaired. I waited from August until mid December to get this heat pump. It is not the same as the old one. It is not an automatic temperature control like I was expecting. I need the air and the heat to keep a steady temperature . It does a great job except for this one thing. Both heats a cools fine except for the air conditioner is very noisy and you have to physically change the temp to heat or cool.

The only thing different was the electrical plug. That had to be changed from the unit we had before.Pleased with this unit.

Love it
Cools down our room quick we put it under a window so we also bought blinds, Husband was able to install in just a few hours. Would by again if ever decided we need another one in another part of the house,
