Selle Italia X1 X-Cross Saddle

Seems to be high quality. Since I haven't really noticed it while riding (or afterwards) it must be working well, ie, no butt hurt.

Saddles are extremely difficult to review and shop for. Everyone's body, needs, and riding styles are very different. I am a 6' tall ~205lbs daily commuter and recreational rider. I frequently ride anywhere from 5miles to 100miles.The majority of my riding with this particular saddle has been daily commutes to/from work averaging ~7miles each way over various terrain. (paved, unpaved, dirt, grass, gravel).I found this saddle to be remarkably uncomfortable. It puts a lot o pressure on the perineum regardless of the cut out. and am sore for DAYS after a single ride.I think a lot of people fail to realize just how wide their sit bones are when trying to find the right saddle. This saddle is ~140mm. I recently had myself measured and I personally require at 150-160mm saddle.So what is the take away here? If you are someone who has perineum issues, or has wide sit bones, this saddle will destroy you. It will leave you in extreme pain and discomfort for days on end, seriously reducing your desire and ability to ride.What I found the most shocking about this saddle is the amount of pressure I still feel in the perineum even with the cut out. The incorrect width can be understood... but the cut out is simply inexcusable. This saddle is designed for a very small, very narrow human.
