SKIL 5” Random Orbital Sander with Cyclonic Dust Box & 3pc Sanding Sheet - SR211601, Multicolor

I'm finishing a 4 bedroom house. I have 3 kids who are helping me sand floors and steps. I had a cordless Dewalt sander and bought this sander as an extra back up. Everyone was fighting over the SKIL sander. The power was better than the other brand. We didn't have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of the project. I absolutely love the sturdy plastic dust collector. It actually works and you can bump it, it's not flimsy, and it actually collects the dust without getting filthy. This is a affordable powerhouse that gets the job done! Love it!

Got this sander to replace one that quit. Don't have a lot of sanding so I was looking for a good sander at a reasonable price. Saw this one being used on a home makeover show and when I saw the price, ordered right away. Does the job and I like the speed. Definitely a keeper for a diy guy like me.

This probably the best orbital sander I've ever owned,it is very smooth on the hands very little vibration. It does a great job sanding and the dust collector works better than most. I've owned a DeWalt and that thing was hard to deal with it left my hand tingling when I was finished using it. I've owned a few different brands and this Skill sander is amazing, just FYI I have had a Skill circular saw for about 12 years and it still works as good as the day I bought it. I would highly recommend this orbital sander.

Never had a sander before and got this when I had to sand off all the "faux paint" relief in a bedroom. It worked well and I was so glad to have it rather than doing it by hand. Even though I'm a newbie with this I was able to get a smooth sanding result. Mixed feelings about the dust collector. Yes, it collected a bunch, but it also didn't collect a bunch. Definitely wear a mask when sanding - a general rule not specific to this sander. Other sanders I looked at also had dust collector issues. I have trouble removing the dust collector sometimes because it seems so tight, but I need to read the directions again. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. As for the sanding discs, I bought a variety pack of discs separately. The sander solidly holds the sanding disc in place and they are easy to change out. Be sure to align the holes of the disc with the holes of the sander to make sure you get dust collected. I also used it with a coarse sanding disc to take off 1/16" from the edge of a wooden shelf (yeah, I need to get myself a saw) and it got the job done. Since I'm new to these I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on a top-end model. Overall I'm happy with the purchase for my various occasional DIY projects.

Where has this been? So much easier than hand sanding, but you'll still get a workout. Makes my wood projects go smoothly and quickly. Loud, of course. Dust bag collects well.

I used it for a wood root. It's very cheap and I thought it would be fast damaged. But no, it worked absoluly great, many many hours and is still working. Here youa get a good product for homeworking for little money.

The absolute best. Worked perfectly on my drywall repair. I was able to connect my shop vacuum hose to it and had ZERO dust. Saved me so much time and energy. This is an amazing product and highly recommended.

Very easy and lightweight sander. Doesn’t jump around works beautifully, pretty quiet. Love the variable speed.

This is easily the best tool I’ve bought in a long time!! I have to sand all the walls on the main floor of my house and it’s working like a total champ!! Easy on your budget at $61, easy to use, making my diy job much more manageable!

Das Produkt konnte ich nicht prüfen, da der Stromstecker US-Format hat. Passt leider nicht in eine deutsche Steckdose. Keinerlei Hinweise auf den US-Stecker in der Beschreibung. Wirklich schade. Bei jedem anderen "Baumarkt" gibt es das Teil natürlich mit einem deutschen Stecker. Auf den 20 Euro Versandkosten bleibe ich nun sitzen.
