Everything works as expected.
The set up of this PC went without a problem. I set up a USB soundbar and a USB microphone quite easily. The old cd-roms have worked with only one, so far, having to be enabled in compatibility mode.I think that I could add a wi-fi dongle to get to the internet, but I am not going to try that option because this is for my grandchildren to use without the distraction of YouTube, and other web destinations plus there is no security from viruses etc. I used a flash drive to add mp3s. At first I had to use the included classic media player (which I set as the default Media player) to play them because Windows Media Player required validation which would have necessitated an internet connection. Then, a day or so later, quite unexpectedly, Windows Media Player became fully operational. How that happened is a mystery to me. There is an included program called Open Office 4.1 that has full functionality when compared with Microsoft Word.I have connected a Bluetooth dongle so that we have options for pairing with other Bluetooth devices. The kids love this, so, mission accomplished.

Great setup
I needed an XP machine to run some old software and use that as an excuse to dust off some old strategy games for nostalgia. This was surprisingly the most well packed refurbed PC setup I've ever seen. Most refurbed tech is usually haphazardly tossed into a box with some bubble wrap or packing peanuts at best. Not this package. This setup was like buying a new PC. Everything was spaced apart and well protected with properly sized foam inserts. I was amazed (and thankful) that someone would actually take the time to pack this used old stuff with so much care. Monitor and PC itself were obviously older hardware. Some light scuffs here and there in inconspicuous places, but function flawlessly. Mouse and keyboard were actually brand new generic house brand parts in boxes. Much better than hoping old ones would work properly. Cables were used with a couple having some dust on them. No big deal. Everything worked together well after figuring out which USB ports they agreed with. No funny smells or loose stuff rattling around. Just a great experience all around. Bought some cheap speakers to finish off the setup and it's doing well several months later. Note - I did not disassemble the PC or dig into the files to see what all has been done as some reviews stated the Internet capabilities had been disabled. It's doing well for me as is and I don't have a need to connect it to a router.

A GREAT COMPUTER BUY FOR YOUR RETRO PROGRAMS
This is a very good system if you are a user of older programs. The equipment arrives promptly as advertised with clean hardware, XP/3 software, cables, keyboard, mouse and monitor. All your older XP program disks will install and run as designed. This dated software system is no longer supported by its creator or those who once supported the platform. Internet downloads of legacy programs such as browsers and drivers for HP printers are either not available, will not install, or are not supported. This is not an internet platform. XP IS WHAT IT IS.Hard Drive Enclosure for 3.5 2.5 Inch SATA SSD HDD USB 3.0 to SATA III Hard Drive Case for older HD. New ones arent supported read the HD box. 32 GB thumb USB works well.Update:Turns on fast and has a clear 17" screen. Although the mouse works I could not type by using the keyboard, I tried all the USB slots and no go. Not a concern for me but your mileage may vary. I have a drawer full of spares and so not worth the hassle just thought it should be said.

A generous and real offering from JSM Computers!
A very pleasant surprise to find the offer of a cleanly refurbished PC, with Windows XP, at an affordable price, including new monitor, keyboard and mouse! All arrived very well packed, with clear instructions for ensuring customer satisfaction. How fun: The ability to load and run programs, that are incompatible with Windows upgrades, and bring them back to life!

Nice equipment but no Windows XP provided.
The item was ok physically at first sight and the packing showed caring and professionalism. However, the tower contained no ingestion of Windows XP whatsoever and this was not clear to me when I made the purchase. I also had a Windows Disk which did not load which made the equipment entirely useless to me. The monitor looked fine but I had a better one from my previous setup and the same was true with the keyboard and the mouse.I do not suggest any intention to decieve on the part of the honorable company. I simply needed a computer which could provide Windows XP which could assist with my large library of docs from 2006 to the present date from my legal practice. What I received could not fit the bill.I have made a second purchase from Amazon of a Windows XP tower which promises that Windows XP is fully loaded together with other software which will aid me.Thank you.

Fits the needs
Received today and is all set up and working great. We were replacing my wife’s old system another Dell that’s been running for years. She used to Windows XP. Installed Office 2003 pro and she is a happy camper. Recommend this company.

A little misled.
I thought that it came with ddr4 sdram and i have bought ddr4 to upgrade and it didn't match the sdram slott. So i gave it a 4star.

Remember it's a refurbished PC.
I'm not much for writing reviews but, I had to with this order. I received my computer today and when I opened the box and pulled the monitor out I could not believe it the monitor looked brand new it was absolutely perfect. I proceeded to unbox everything and I must say the PC looked brand new as well, it was flawless and the accessories looked new as well. It works great with no issues I absolutely love it know everybody's experience will be different I gave it 5 stars but if I could given more I would.
