Trident Case Aegis Case for Apple iPhone 6 Plus /6s Plus - Retail Packaging - Blue

Before starting this review, these are what I'm looking for in a case:- Lanyard loop (or, failing that, between two openings in the case)- Non-slip material- Cutouts for 3.5mm and Lightning ports being larger than default- Port covers are a bonusThe good:- Most of the sides are soft rubber, yay!- As with the Kraken, the ports are large enough that third-party accessories can be used here, unlike the Incipio; they're also covered- Cutout around the Apple logo for additional grip while making callsThe bad:- Like the Kraken, the back is all hard plastic, making it very slippery. Fortunately the sides are not also completely hard plastic this time around.- Two-piece construction means the case needs to be re-assembled slowly, so the inner soft casing sits flush with the outer hard plastic cover- Rear camera port slightly off-center towards the top-rightThe ugly:- Bundled screen protector obscures the left edge of the front camera. I ended up using the bundled one from a Ringke case instead.Other notes:- In order to improve grip on the back cover and reduce the chance of slippage, I added two vertical 3/8" strips of rubbery sports tape on the raised edges, and three 1"x2" strips stacked side by side in the middle indent (see picture). Obviously this is not an elegant solution, but the case is now less slippery with these strips in place.EDIT: forgot to attach picture, oops.

I first purchased an Otterbox defender series for my IPhone but didn't like the bulk it added to the phone. I had a Trident case for my Galaxy 3 and loved it. The SG3 case fit the phone way better than the IPhone case. It is a great case but could fit more snug. Maybe this is becoming an issue as phones get thinner. One version of the SG3 case had several complaints about the charge port. You had to take a butter knife and spend an extra 20 seconds working the rubber port cover through the outter plastic shell. I wish the IPhone case was made this way. Leaving out that extra strip of plastic to box in the charge port makes the phone seem unprotected. The spot near the home button is just a small piece of rubber. This is my only serious complaint about the case.The mix of rubber and plastic does make the phone easier to fit in your pocket, and easier to hold in your hand.Update: Still a great case protecting my phone! I probably drop my phone 5 times a day (clutz) and the phone is always fine. I even removed the glass screen protector to enjoy the actual phone screen. Case has protected against scratches so far.

As a fan of Trident cases in the past, I went with another Aegis case and i'm really glad i did. I was on the fence between several different brands and types. (bumper, apple leather case etc)Previous cases i've owned by Trident (Iphone 4, Nokia Lumia 928 and Blackberry Z30) were very nice as far as protection, but always a bit bulky. Not Otterbox bulky, but some added thickness, nonetheless.I was thinking it would be the same thing w/the 6 plus. While it does add some some bulk, it is no overly noticeable. The phone is already pretty thin, so adding the Aegis case, actually makes handling the phone more natural.The rubber lip sticks up a little bit past the face giving the screen protection and it fits really snug. You have to do a little pulling to get the rubber part situated. Once it's in, it's super snug. Exactly what i was looking for in a not so bulky, but solidly protective case.Then there is the whole price thing. Way cheaper than any of the other brands, but super quality.Great case!

I love Trident cases. I was never a fan of the Otterbox cases because of the bulkiness. I've used PureGear but the case gets so dirty that it bothers me. If you're like me and want an in between - Trident offers the best of both words. Protection, less bulk, and no issues with excessive dirt staining the case. I used the Trident Cyclops with my 5S but put a glass screen protector on the 6+ so I didn't think the Cyclops was needed. The Aegis is great. It takes a bit of work to line up the rubber so the gaps aren't noticeable and ugly. I'm very careless with my phone at times and there have been times where I should have ruined my phone but didn't because of the Trident case.

These are the best cases ever. I have used them for years and years and years and I will never use another case again. I got the white one for my Husband, blue for myself. I have the iPad Kraken case as well for the iPad, and the same case for my Husband's iPad. I have not broken a phone in years and have not had to get a new phone in years and years because of it breaking. Not since I started using these cases. I absolutely love the material.

Sturdy...two piece case...inner rubber sleeve covered by an outer rigid plastic cover...the rubbery part wraps over onto the phone front, and has little flaps that cover the lightning port, headphone jack...rubbery case covers the power and volume buttons but the buttons are still easy to press...phone feels secure in handling...I needed a case with a smooth flat back as I have become very accustomed to using an iRing...between the grip provided by the rubbery inner case and the iRing the phone is super secure in my hand....

Love Trident Products. I have purchased three for my self ( iPhone 4,5 and 6) Also bought some for my daughters and wife. Even for the wife's iPad. I like the rubber on the corners. As this is always where the place the phone drops on. Tried other cases that were twice the cost. They protected the phone when dropped but the case usually cracked and another case we 35 to 40 bucks. Never has a Trident case brake, just love the product for a GREAT price.

This is a very sturdy case. The color is beautiful and I like the iPhone cut out in the back. It's a bit bulky compared to some of the slimmer cases but it offers a lot of protection. I have had other Trident cases which I love but would definitely recommend this one a slimmer Trident case.
