GRACEART Tudor Chain of Office Livery Collar Necklace (6 Styles)

This was purchased for a theatre production and it looked great! It did loose a stone after 12 shows, found and glued back in.

This looked great in our theatrical production and saved us time we didn't have to make ourselves. Eventually one of the strings broke during a sword fight. It was not snagged by a weapon or pulled by a hand. If I made it myself I would have used fishing line to string the pearl beads and metal disks. If I have time I may restring it myself but the beads were lost onstage.

You have to set the lobster claw clasp yourself.

Although there were delays in delivery beyond the control of the seller, he certainly did all he could to help. The items arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. I am very pleased with the quality and certainly do feel this livery collar to be a wonderful addition to my extensive collection of historical clothing. I chose to add both red and black jewels and a chain behind my neck to hold the collar in place and am very pleased with the completed project.

The chain itself is way too long (Model B) and if it were positioned or presented the way it is on the dummy, there's lots of slack left in the back that just looks silly. The clasp is not really adjustable nor are links removable with out compromising the integrity of the chain. HOWEVER! The actual quality of the item is well built and solid.

This Tudor necklace is very pretty, but it is very unstable around my neck and shoulders, and absolutely refuses to lay flat, and the stone side inevitably ends up facing toward my costume. I tried pinning it to keep it in place, but was unable to solve the problem.

I bought this despite the many negative reviews, sometimes an item isn't really as bad as the bad reviews say. I should have listened to them. The chain fell apart immediately upon receiving it. It will require much stronger jump rings for me to repair it. If I wanted to do all that work I could have built it from scratch. All that being said however the chain itself is actually quite beautiful. So is it a good value, in my case the one I received was not. In this particular instance the cons far outweighed the pros. If you need an inexpensive chain for a Halloween costume you could take a chance, there a some good reviews. Just be ready to do some major repair work if necessary. If you need a chain that can stand up to the rigors of say a theatrical sword fight you will definitely need to do major work to strengthen the jump rings. The work itself isn't difficult, anyone can do it. But it is very time consuming. Unfortunately the alternative is to spend a whole lot more money to get a well crafted professional movie quality chain. I didn't bother to return it because I can repair it, and because well live and learn right?

Generous size so would fit a range of wearers. Really nice quality and looks like something a Tudor would wear! Perfect for fancy dress, reenactment and theatre.

I bought this for a character in a panto I am directing and I'm so happy with the look and quality of it! It's so well made, I can see it being used in many future productions!
