these are so obviously beads and not pearls. They are absolutely perfectly round and flawless in shape, color and sheen. Also, the pictures doesn't accurately depict how much bigger the front beads are compared to the ones in the back. I was quite disappointed. The price is so low, I was hoping for large flawed pearls rather than a beaded necklace. It is very heavy also.

Good to know that some imitation pearls called shell pearls. Such imitations simply made from painted glass. Besides that in the name of item mentioned that it is shell pearl, not all will understand that it is immitation because of detailed description states that "Stone Creation Method: Natural" and "Pearl type: Freshwater cultured" which actually means more naturally look and feel than this painted beads. Also I received the item with the WHITE string which makes beads not possible to wear without changing or painting it.
