All Charged Up
=February 2011=I recently purchased two of these and can't complain. One downside of MP3 players are that they have to be tethered while the battery charges. So I bought an extra player that I use just to charge batteries. With three batteries now, I can have one in the charger, one ready for use and one in the player. For my last trip I didn't even bother to bring a (USB) charger, just the two extra batteries fully charged. My current player is a C250 running Rockbox. Rockbox really does do a good job of conserving battery and has functionality the original firmware lacked but there is only so much it can do with old hardware. I'm not sure how long I will stick with this player, I've already replaced the plastic once and when I need to again, it may make more sense to just buy something newer (I wore groves in the plastic buttons). While it would make sense to buy more batteries while they are still on the market, I may not kill the ones I have before I replace the player and batteries only last a few years anyway. I'll revisit this question next year but I don't think it will be possible to get these batteries after 2012 at an affordable price. As to the battery capacity, I've managed to get it to the low 90%s but I don't view this as a problem as they seem to discharge and operate normally. The screen protector they included works great and is better quality than the one that came with my camera. But applying it is a little tricky as you have to peal a very thin sheet of plastic off another very thin sheet of plastic, without touching the sticky side or the screen. I suspect this is something that takes some practice.I'm not sure if it was intentional but they included an extra screen protector kit with my order. It has been put to good use.=July 2012=Some updates, I purchased another of these (I lost one of the two batteries I previously purchased). I popped it in a player and left it on charge overnight. Got it up to 97-98% (Rockbox couldn't decide and would flicker between the two). I'm very happy.Shortly after buy the original batteries I discovered my player was loosing power when jostled. Upon investigation of the batteries I noticed that the contacts were not firmly held in place and could be pushed into the batter. I'm not someone to just send something back if it is easily remedied, so I pealed the sticker wrapper off the battery to discover that the battery is made up of two parts, the black plastic frame and the battery & circuit board (which has the contacts on it). I super glued the circuit board to the plastic frame and rewrapped the entire thing. Problem solved. So when I purchased this battery, it was the first thing I checked, just like the others, it had this problem too. It took less than 10 min to glue it and have it back together. Some advice for applying the anti scratch plastic. When applying it to a brand new device, leave the original temporary anti scratch plastic on the device until moments before you want to place the real stuff. This way you don't have to clean dust off it.

sansa c200 battery
I purchased two HQRP replacement batteries for my Sansa c240 and c250 players. One of the old batteries was pretty much used up, the other not so much. I replaced both with the new ones and now use one of them to play background sound through the night and the other is for assorted listening. Because I use one for nighttime it has to be run through a stereo for amplification and even then requires the volume to be set very high and as a result the battery runs down over the course of the night. I have an external power supply where the player is used and plug it into the player at bed time and charge and play all night, then the next night it has a full charge and I don't have to plug it in. The batteries work fine and do exactly what they should. I strongly recommend these to anyone using a Sansa c200 series player. I don't remember what I paid for them but it was the best price I found. So, snatch these up while you can.

Beware of Battery Life!!!
It is plain and simple with this battery: the battery life is not very good. I read the reviews before I bought this battery and thought it was worth the money and the chance. I know about battery charging and battery life and wasn't born yesterday. I charged the battery completely and used it until the charge was completely spent. That is when I found out that the quarter life of this battery is nonexistent. The battery works great until that point. Once it reaches quarter life it shuts down. My factory battery worked at least 3 times on quarter life, if not more. There were other buyers who stated that the battery life was not good with this unit and I have to completely agree, or shall I say the battery is 70% good. If that is acceptable to you then buy it. If not, you might be a little pissed like me.

Looks like it doesn't hold a charge, but it worked after "breaking in"
Initially the battery came with holding half a charge and worked for a while with it. When the charge was finished, I was unable to recharge it anymore. It would reach full charge immediately and then drain within seconds. I thought the battery is broken and won't hold charge, but I contacted the seller and they explained that I need to force the charger to repeatedly charge the battery to "break it in". They said initial charging should be 12 hours or longer. So I charged it until full, which was taking only a few seconds initially. Then I shut off the unit and unplugged the battery and plugged it back in to recharge it. I repeated this several times until it started holding charge again.

Don't waste ur money...
I thought I reviewed this already. I failed to return this item and just chucked it as money down the drain. I did let amazon know of my unsatisfaction received timely response from them but just got sidetracked and failed to return item. who knows if they would've replaced it with better item. The battery was not even covered correctly. it was a shoddy job. the smell was horrible-like chemical smell I didn't even trust the item in my device. The only reason why it got one star is because you have to give it one star.. NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND............

Fixed my broken Sansa
One of my first MP3 players was a Sansa. After the battery died, I replaced the unit because the technology had improved. I found the Sansa in a drawer the other day, looked up the battery and ordered this replacement. The battery came rather quickly thru the post office. Shortly after an initial charge I was revisiting music I had forgotten I had. Easy to replace. Charged very quickly.
