Score! I started drinking a healthy (and hugely addictive) nightly juice that calls for 1 tablespoon of ginger. Ginger is the Pringles of roots. Once you start you just can't stop putting it in EVERYTHING. My Dad was shocked when I excitedly told him I had purchased 80 ounces of ginger for a steal - Dad, you've obviously never had good ginger... There's an awesome squeeze tube brand you can get in your grocery refrigerated produce section... But it was rarely in stock at any store in my area! Plus, while it was tasty it was pretty expensive and had more sugar than I really wanted. No fresh ginger for weeks at a time either. Without much hope, I turned to Prime. After reading a ton of reviews I nervously picked these little jars. Would it taste good? Would the jars be opened or broken, like the other reviews (seemingly all from early 2018)?The shipment arrived on time and packaged for protection! The jars are each in their own little square compartments, in a tightly fitted box, inside ANOTHER box with packing pillows. At first glance everything looked perfect, then I noticed one jar was leaking and the lid was loose. I lifted and closely inspected every jar and found no other loose lids or leaking. Turning back to the offending jar I noted a small dent in the lid, as if it had been knocked with a butter knife (we did this all the time as kids to open tightly sealed jars). When I inspected the contents of the jar there was barely any dried ginger. It smelled and looked good. Best I can reason this has to have happened in shipment either shortly before or after leaving the warehouse.Bottom line I am extremely thrilled with my purchase! I feel like this company truly cares about their product and that extends to their customers satisfaction. I could only suggest perhaps adding a plastic seal around each jar kid to help keep the lid securely in place, wrapping the jar box in bubble paper and labeling the box "glass" and/or "liquid contents" . The Ginger People can only do so much, your delivery people also play a hand in the condition of your package when it arrives at your door.I will be a repeat customer. My first jar is almost empty and I MUST HAVE GINGER IN MY LIFE!!! If they could also ship me a never ending supply of fresh parsley my life would be complete lol. Oh AND, this ginger has less sugar and calories than my previous brand! I was at the store yesterday and saw my previous brand on the shelf. My hand instinctively when to grab the lone tube but I pulled back because what I have now is sooooooo much better!! I'm extremely tempted by their sliced ginger but I feel like it would be so good I wouldn't stop eating it straight from the jar in a single seating. Maybe soon ;)

The media could not be loaded.  The ginger arrived with one open jar, and leaked all in the box. I can't get a refund or contact the seller to get a replacement. Not happy about this part. The other 11 jars were fine. I have bought this in the past and the ginger is great to cook with.

After reading several reviews about damaged contents, I was a bit wary of ordering. However, the case arrived in excellent exterior condition with undamaged contents. The box contained the lighter-colored ginger sourced from China, not the darker more pungent product sourced from Fuji. I like them both. I find myself needing to use a bit more of the lighter product because the flavor isn't as strong, there's more liquid in the jar, and the ginger is more mashed than minced. However, the product was great for the price. I will likely reorder again if the price is right.

Its not the strongest ginger taste. I had to use a lot more compared to other jared ginger. But it did come with more for comparable price so I will probably end up purchasing it again.

Of course fresh is better. Nothing from a jar will taste just like fresh. These do the trick for my Indian and Asian cooking. I was concerned about the added sugar but it's not overly sweet. I like that there aren't any funky ingredients in this.

I am so pleased with this product. The taste is fresh and true. I add it to my cooking BUT I mostly add it to my vinegar drink. I believe that the health benefits of ginger are many.

I have been a big fan of the Ginger People's minced Ginger. It comes in chunks, is not overly sweetened, and is bursting with ginger flavor. I have gotten it at our local Whole Foods and use it to make Kombucha. I noticed this product also called Ginger People Minced Ginger and, because the price was better than Whole Foods, bought a case. Unfortunately this product is a highly sweetened puree and does not contained minced ginger. I used to drink the original minced ginger like pulp in my Kombucha but now throw the bottom of the glass than contains the ginger sediment. My wife and I both dislike the taste and fervently hope we can find the real Ginger People minced product, not the sweetened pureed ginger.
