Yes, it cools—as in, it doesn't retain heat like non-cooling toppers do. (No, it doesn't magically cool the air or feel cold to the touch, like some reviewers expect?) So, if you generate a lot of heat at night, I can vouch for this.Unfortunately, it's just too squishy. Yes, I ordered the "soft" one to counteract my way-too-firm mattress, but with this topper, my hips just sink to the bottom. Now I wake up ever morning with a stiff lower back.

I used this product because I am having hip surgery, and needed extra cushion. Relieved some of the pain, and able to sleep more hours than I could without it. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful product! This topper is so comfortable! LOVE IT!! Its like a soft cloud that relieves pressure points all over your body. Our mattress set is only 4 yrs old, but we would wake up with daily back and neck aches. The topper eliminated that after 1 or 2 nights! It’s so soft and cozy, it makes it hard to get out of bed! The fit for our standard king size bed was perfect, no trimming or hanging over the sides. Our regular sheets fit but are tight, deep pocket sheets fit better. The cover that comes with the topper is super soft, and helps keep it in place. As for cooling, we think it helps some, but we sleep hot anyways so we didn’t have high expectations that a topper would solve that. Have bought cheaper toppers in the past....they don’t even compare to this one! Buy something of quality the first time around, as you'll end up spending more in the long run with a cheaper made product.

I bought the cooling gel foam option. For the price I expected a phase change infused foam. What I got was the same three inch memory foam topper everyone sells with a painted on phase change coating that only even covers one side. Phase change, if you aren't familiar, is the stuff that when you touch it feels cold to the touch, almost wet. For the price this entire thing should have phase change as that's what really helps with pulling away body heat.I put this on top of a new acesleep memory foam bed for a little extra plush feel. It does fit the mattress well. The cover fits nicely over my 12" mattress plus this 3" foam topper. Make sure you have deep pocket sheets unless your mattress is super slim.The foam is a good quality. It has good deep contouring and support. It's a little slow to respond so you do get a little stuck in the mattress, but it's not impossible to move. You definitely get that sinking in sleeping IN not ON the mattress feel with this. Soft and comfy. It did sleep a little warm for a cooling foam, not hot, but not cool enough to justify paying so much. Also it's January in Minnesota, so I'll update if this becomes unbearable in summer.So really my only caution is that since they kind of short change you on the cooling technology that I paid a premium for in this topper, there are hundreds of three inch gel memory foam toppers available for a third of the price. I would shop around. If price doesnt matter though go for it.

This is a great mattress topper that does not get hot - stays cool. It’s like sleeping on a giant firm marshmallow and i am so glad i took the dive and bought it. Also no smell that i noticed.It is NOT Seeley branded (could be there off brand though). I recommend this.I have been sleeping on this for about 45 days and still love it!

This mattress topper has served me well! Although I do understand the complaints about it just being foam. BE WARNED: it is a FOAM memory topper; but it is a very dense foam and can add so much support depending on what you’re looking for. My original Sealy mattress is quite firm, which I normally like, but I sleep on my side a lot and noticed my hips would be sore some mornings. After adding this topper, I haven’t had that problem as it is softer and allows my body to sink into the mattress just a bit. I also like the height it adds to my bed. No problem with smell after letting it air out for 48 hours. It can be a little awkward to sit in, but for sleep it has served me greatly!

I checked out several of these mattress pads with mixed reviews, and I decided to spend the extra money to get something I knew wouldn't let me down. This is that product, my friends. I was having severe back pain that was waking me up at night. I was sleeping in a very uncomfortable position because it was the only relief I got. Not anymore! I can sleep on my back, stomach, side, any which way, and I will not wake up with pain. This cradles my body and my back so that I am perfectly supported. There's no need to worry about those other, cheap products with wishy-washy reviews. This is the mattress pad you want, from a trusted brand!!

I purchased this mattress topper as a present for my parents (are in their 70’s). They had recently bought a new mattress and it was very uncomfortable to both of them. They mention (practically every time we talk) what a huge difference the topper has made in their sleep quality.The only down-side is the weight of the topper to get the box up onto the bed. But I explained to them that the weight indicates great quality! The description said that it came encased in a cover but I’m pretty sure my parents said it doesn’t enclose the entire topper, it only protects the top side.

I knew exactly how much the budget was for a cooling memory foam gel-infused mattress topper. My mattress has a topper of elite quality consisting of 13 layers but was firm to meet my orthopaedic needs then. Recently, I raised by air-conditioning temperature for eco-energy reasons as living in equatorial Singapore many tend to over cool their homes. After a year's research it seems that cooling (heating dissipating really) materials are readily available for duvets, covers and now, mattress toppers. I picked Sealy's mainly because they already have an established reputation to safeguard in beddings. It could have been any other make offering gel-infused memory foam, and thickness. I avoided the technologies with copper and other minerals. Foam is suffused with enough chemicals to manufacture and ensure fire retardant, so if you want to pay for those add-ons, shift your budget to get a semi-permanent topper to last more than five to seven years at least. I worked out to have this be suited for my comfort for about three to five years and the depreciation looked USD1.67 per month. That's as good as the energy savings it will also add to my energy bill of using less air-conditioning power. [Of course, there are many others who pay more for everything to have better quality materials and in the end, aren't really 'saving' costs, resources or energy usage.] The delivery via Prime was superbly fast (just over a day). Item arrived with zip cover for use. It was easy to unpack and allow the topper to 'expand'. It really needed to breathe, and you could smell the formaldehyde (or other VOCs) as it off-gassed. Ideally I should have left it open in another room for a couple of days, but after a whole day I decided to dress the bed with it over my Elite Comfort mattress and the US Queen size has a slightly greater length by inches, so the topper jutted out from the ends by about half-an-inch. It looked fine once the linens were on. While unfolding the foam topper, I noticed one side had been deformed during the packing compression (picture 3, 4) but knew that these along the edge would not affect the performance, or will resume most of their original shape in time. So I did not consider these 'defects' to worry about or arrange for a return. The odour of the off gassing was not a problem with the Yuzu reed room diffuser I used with a fan briefly on, and slept very comfortably. In fact, too comfortably: I tuned off my Sleep Focus alarm on my iPhone and overslept by two hours, even with the aircon at going off two hours earlier. Even better, I fell asleep much quicker too. I genuinely think it's time for anyone living in the equatorial or tropical zones to adjust their bedroom comfort to be more energy and heat efficient to achieve the best cooling environment for sleep using these new materials, and workout the savings you want to achieve with the new topper otherwise all that talk about being eco and energy resource conscious is a lie. I suspect from the quality of the three-inch foam (medium-cooling) that this will last beyond five years, as I don't rough tumble on my bed (if you get my meaning 😂😬). Would I have enjoyed the plush softness of a 4 inch soft topper? Probably, but it will most likely last 2-3 years. So if immediate comfort and a short-term usage is a priority, go for it. I spent close to $10K on my mattress and didn't want to change it just yet so this modification from firm to medium-cooling seemed just right for me. But this Sealy gel-infused topper definitely did 'turn up a notch' on the comfort dial for my night's sleep without breaking the bank.

Mattress topper is very comfortable but if you are buying it to help with nerve compression while sleeping forget it. Makes it far worse. On my regular Simmons Mattress I could sleep 3 hours before getting nerve compression... this cuts it down to 1 hour.I don't appreciate that there is no pickup option and before I buy anything of this bulk and cost I will make sure I know what the return options really are.

Really happy with this purchase, better than expected but hangs over the edge a touch

Very disappointed with this product. When open the box topper has been already torn.
