Riceland Gold Parboiled Long Grain Rice 1 lb

I love this product and am sorry to see the poor reviews due to the seller misrepresenting the amount of packages the customer is supposed to receive. I always received 2 backs for the price paid.As for the quality of rice, it cooks up nicely and has always been done in 20-25 minutes, which is my usual rice cook time when prepared on the stove. (Never prepared it in a rice cooker or Instant Pot, sorry.) I do use a bit less water than the instructions say and my rice comes out nearly foolproof and definitely tasty, not too firm or dry and definitely not mushy. My previous issues with grains that stick together might have been my own issue, or it could just be using this rice; either way I do enjoy this brand's dependability.I would much prefer to buy rice locally, but unfortunately my local grocery stores do not carry this brand or any other brand of "gold" rice like Carolina, Goya Canilla or Mahatma.

Disappointed in price and size of item. I should have paid more attention to this purchase ans I'll never purchase from thos seller again.Update: A few weeks later I received a package from the seller with several bags of rice and an apology that I didn’t receive them with my original shipment. This is our family’s go-to brand so I am thankful the vendor demonstrated integrity and made good on my purchase.

This was my first time trying parboiled rice. It was perfectly cooked and fluffy. I used a Riceland recipe, too, as they sent me a gorgeous cookbook, free of charge! The rice was carefully packaged, as well, and it was sent directly from the company. I received it in just a few days. Seriously impressed with this rice and the company! I'm normally kind of lazy about writing reviews but since I'm ordering this rice again, I thought I'd make the effort.

Wasn't able to purchase Uncle Ben's Converted Rice for a time at the local supermarkets due to the pandemic, so decided to purchase eight packages of this. Cooks up nicely, tasty flavor.

The flavor and texture is good, about the same as other rice.I was surprised about length of time to prepare. I always thought that "parboiled" rice would be quick to cook. It takes 30-35 minutes to prepare if you follow the "stovetop" instructions on the package.This rice is good and just a little above average price.I will select something else the next time I buy rice.

I prefer extra long grain caroline rice, but in a pinch this rice is good

Too expensive! You can get 2 lbs for $1.64 at Walmart. Would not buy again! Waste of money!

A unique rice, history is interesting as well. Came to being from a shipwreck with cargo of yellow rice. It foundered off coast of Carolinas, was saved by locals and in gratitude they were given a few barrels of rice which they planted. It’s better than regular white rice.
