I got this Otterbox Symmetry case for my new Galaxy S5. I had an Otterbox on my Razr for years and it still looks brand new, so when I got this phone there was no doubt in my mind what kind of case I would get for it. This case is one piece and easy to install but fits it tight so it won't fall off. I also checked to see how easy it is to remove, and it's not hard to get it off if you need to remove it for anything. The case fits perfectly. The charging port is easy to access and I actually like the fact that the middle of the case is open for it. It's a nice resting place for my finger while holding it with both hands. This is a very slim case but does add a little weight to the phone, but not enough to be a deal breaker for me. The outer button covers fit exactly as they should and they are easily manipulated. I was concerned that this phone wasn't loud enough for me before I got this case. It fits the speaker on the back of the phone and acts as an amplifier making the ringtones and sounds much louder. The case is slightly textured and has a very classy look to it. I am very pleased with this case and now I am looking for a tempered glass screen protector that will fit my phone with this case. Otterbox has worked for me in the past and I have no doubt that this case is going to work for me as well. Highly recommend this case to anyone looking for superior protection and style for their Galaxy S5.

Ok so I look at the pictures in the ad and then i look at the case they sent me, and there is no way this thing they sent me is the same as in the picture. First of all the one i recieved has terrible overmolding and sloppy rubber work. Second of all my phone barely fit inside this thing. I damaged the chrome layer of the plastic bezel squeezing it in. I am not happy about that at all. Thirdly, the picture in the ad clearly shows a pyramidal or triangular grey rubber top edge that surrounds the screen digitizer. The rubber edge on mine, if you can call it that, is flat and not pyramidal at all. My top left corner of my screen keeps popping out of the case. The volume and power buttons bulge the edges of the rubber out of alignment with the rest of the grey edge.So what so glaringly drew my attention to these flaws was not my initial dissatisfaction with the case. No not at all, quite the contrary. I actually was satisfied with this case at first, i just thought it was a tight fit and would relax after a while with the phone in it. Sure the rubber looked messy, but i just accepted it as typical of phone case quality that these were probably jsut another made in china brand. It wasn't until i bought one of these symmetry phone cases for my boyfriend's Note 4 that i realized how crappy the one i had on my s5 was. Symmetry otterbox for the note 4 DOES have the trapezoidal/pyramidal ruber edge along the screen perimeter. There are no moulding defects or over pour on his note 4 symmetry otterbox case either! So i'm looking at these and wondering, what the hell is going on here with this s5 "symmetry otterbox." I'm not sure if it's a failure of quality control or if I was sold a counterfeit otterbox symmetry for the s5. Yes i have Pictures of the piss-poor thing and pictures of the Note 4 symmetry otterbox for comparison.. also worth mentioning the word "symmetry" on the s5 and note 4 were written in a different font on each of the packaging they came in. On the s5 box it was in lowercase letters, and on the note 4 box it was in all caps. I hope this can be resolved. I want the case showin in the advertisement pictures, so like can someone send me the right one that i ordered?EDIT April 2, 2018: I returned the S5 symmetry otterbox and orderred from amazon directly this time. On the otterbox website they say to only buy on amazon if amazon is the seller to help them fight counterfeigt. So today i got my new supposedly genuine s5 symmetry otterbox case directly from amazon. All i can say is that otterbox really dropped the ball on this one. The fit is terrible. The molding is slightly better on this one but still sloppy. I cannot say enough how the fit is TERRIBLE. It's just not made well or correctly for the phone. I know this because the Symmetry case they make for the note 4 is so much better than this. It is ridiculous. The rubber edge barely covers the phone chromed plastic bezel and the fit is so tight i'd say it actually does not fit the phone as shown in the adverts. With the phone bezel pushing up on the rubberized screen protector, there is maybe a millimeter at most of thin rubber between your screen and a drop surface. On the note 4 symmetry case the triangular edge extends WELL above the glass. And it completely overlaps the phone edge and bezel. Again, otterbox really dropped the ball on this one. Just absolute garbage. Unfortunately i can't go yet another week without a case on my phone as i will probably do more damage so i will keep it until i can get a new one and then this too is going back, though i should probably just throw it in the trash where it belongs.

I normally get the defender or commuter style Otterbox for phones, especially for my husband who is tough on them, and actually bought the symmetry series by accident. However, we have been very impressed. The design is great, not overstated or busy, but still gives it a great, clean look.Its very easy to install with no extra steps or tabs to click in as the rubber and outer shell are one piece. The phone fits snuggly and in the first month or so of use there is no stretching of the rubber, dings, and only extremely light wearing around the edges that get most of the abuse. The buttons are responsive and there is no buzzing or odd sounds from the speaker.The big difference we saw on this case is that there is no cross piece on the bottom around the charging port. On the other styles there is plastic around the whole thing, but the symmetry does no have the extra plastic piece near the home button. My husband was unsure how he felt about it at first but now loves that its gone. It's very easy to plug in his phone. He broke the little cross piece on all his other cases. Overall, this is a great case for someone who is hard on phones but isn't planning to take their phone through the river and up mountains.

I really like the quality of the case and how little bulk it offers to the phone. I do wish there was a way to offer this slim of a case with a tad more protection. With the cover for the charging port, it's difficult to spin out of the way with this case on, but that isn't a huge deal. I don't really like the cover with or without the case. The only other con I can think of is how smooth the back is. It's pretty slippery.Pros: Sleek/slim, well made, aesthetic, fits perfectly, easy to put on and easy enough to take offCons: Gets in the way of the charging port cover, likely isn't toddler proof (so if you're going for protection mostly, get one of the larger cases!), and the back needs some kind of texture or added material so it is less slippery on smooth surfaces/in hands.Overall I'm very happy with it, though, and will definitely continue to use it, perhaps even purchase another color!

It's an OtterBox. I would expect nothing less than a perfect fit and great protection.

Product was delivered exactly as ordered. My old case (also an OtterBox) had worn down and the rubber finish was starting to perish. The new case is great and I can actually feel where the buttons are again!Arrived within a week too which was quite impressive. Very happy with the service received.

Good case fits like a glove adds a lot of protection. My phone has survived many dramatic tumbles and falls from 6 ft with this case and doesn't show any signs of damage. For me this is the perfect mixture of protection and bulk.

Great case so far. Nice colours and fits the phone perfect. No screen protector so it's hard to say how safe the screen will be in this model of otter box.

Solidly built, the holes match up perfectly. It does add a bit more weight and heft to the phone so if you like the phone "nude", i woudl look elsewhere. Its much thicker with it on but its really safe from any kinda abuse you want to give!
