The Streamlight 61063 headlamp is a very good unit. Very good work light as other reviewers have described. Based on the reviews I read I was expecting a brighter light at both the focused and broad light switch settings - I was a disappointed in actual use.Streamlight makes excellent flashlights and I have 3 other models I use around the farm and shop. Construction, and finish are top notch, just like the other Streamlight products I use. Very sturdy and well made and all have lasted me over the years. This was a logical addition to my tool flashlights.It works, easy to recharge and comfortable to wear while working as a head band or over a base ball cap. I used this set for this year's night grape harvest and while it throws both a spot light and a broad light, I was expecting more light. Difficult to see for detailed work. Also used it for doing a 400 hour maintenance on the tractor - especially while under the tractor - and again I wanted a brighter light to see what I was working on. Great for walking to and from buildings at night and putting the chickens to bed. Also excellent when walking the dogs, but for specific detail work, again, I would like to have a brighter light therefore the 4 stars.Maybe its my aging eyesight and unrealistic expectations. Maybe LED lamp technology is not there yet.I would recommend this headlamp for general walking and over all work tasks that require illumination, but not for detailed work. You need a brighter lamp.

I purchased my first Double Clutch over 4 years ago. I loved everything about it. I’ve recommended it to dozens of people on job sites, and see them a week or two later with one, telling me how much they love it. I use my headlamp 8 hours a day 5 days a week, and I put them through their paces. Most would last a couple of months, 6 if I was lucky.My first Double Clutch endured 3+ Years of my abuse, and I felt I got every penny out of it. I was happy to see that they were still available, and ordered one the instant mine broke. From the get-go, this switch was a little clunky...just didn’t feel right. It wasn’t too bad, just not smooth. It got progressively worse over the next three months, and it now only works using two hands to turn it on/off (one for stabilization of the unit). I was even living with up to that point, but today, when plugging in the USB, the charging port pushed back into the battery housing and it no longer charges.I have noticed others writing of the same problem with the switch. It seems there has been a change in quality on this product, and I am sorely disappointed. Having said all that, I will most likely order another when I am done with this review. It’s not as good as it was, but it’s still the best headlamp for me. Fingers crossed my next one got turned out on a good QC day, :-)

5 hour run time + on low, penetrating light on hi, rechargeable has already saved a bunch of batteries but keep some handy just in case.Update 4/11/2017I have used this light daily since August 2015. I climb around in a manufacturing plant working on equipment in all environments, wet, dry, hot and/or cold and more. I can't count how many times I have head butted a steel beam or the like with this light taking the brunt of the hit and it keeps on going. The battery hasn't lost much at all of it's potential, still going 4 to 6 hours. I thought the internal charge port would be an inconvenience, and it is a little, but well worth the 30 second time investment to keep the port clean. I work in a very high dust and or moisture environment and the port is almost as clean today as it was when new.To sum up, this light is tough and highly functional. Well worth the money.1/1/2019I just bought another of these as the last one was knocked off my head and fell 20 feet to a concrete floor and broke the hinge, but it still works as a flashlight. That light proved to be very tough in my environment which is why I bought another. Three and as half years off brutal torcher and the battery still worked well as did the rest of it. This will be the only headlight I buy unless Streamlight finds a way to make it better.

I already had one and liked it so much I ordered another. I sometimes need two lights to get through a work shift, and I noticed that when my Streamlight died and I switched to my backup light, I was always kind of disappointed, so now I'll have a Streamlight as my backup too.It's a great light, plenty bright even on the low settingc easy to aim, stays on my head. Four stars instead of 5 only because it's hard to get it out of the detentes - it takes two hands to turn it off if I have moved it all the way into the "on" detente. Fortunately it's possible to have it on but not in the detente, so that's how I usually use it, but I think there's a design flaw that the detente is so detente-ey.

Everything is great about this bit r stars for not having a red light. Love the rechargeable and the option to use disposable batteries in a pinch. Love that you can recharge the battery packs outside if the headlamp so that toy can charge up a spare while it's in use. Very comfy, lightweight good for hiking but again threw lack od a red light when that's pretty standard is a huge drawback.

I am a mechanic and also farm. I use this light on the farm often to split wood, check the mail, walk back and fourth from the barn to the house and work around the house. It's very bright (adjustable to dim if needed), light weight, adjustable aim, and the headband is easily adjustable if wearing a hat or not. I highly recommend this light. I liked it so much I bought one for my good buddy, which he loves it also. Additionally I love the fact that it has a rechargeable battery. I lasts about 4-5 hours on bright before it begins to flicker to let you know it needs to be recharged again.

Works great so far. Battery lasts probably 5-6 hours on full bright. It's nice to have the removeable battery. Can put some AAA batteries in while you charge so you always have light. The clutch mechanism seems solid but will have to wait and see how long it will last

Very good product. Holds a charge well.
