Russell Hobbs 59cm Wide, 4 Burner Gas Hob, Stainless Steel, RH60GH403SS

I didn't have to get a gas safety registered Installer to fit the item. But it was definitely worth it. It looks very nice and is very easy to use. Well designed.

Very happy with the cooker, was abit tricky to install. Would not be possible to use all 4 burners due to layout.

The hob was exactly what we were looking for

A replacement for our 10 year old stainless steel hob, which worked but was looking tired.Had some worries about glass on a hob but consulted a qualified gas installation expert prior to purchase who told me he had never heard of problems with the gas version.Required minor adjustment to worktop and gas pipe but looks first class.Have now used it twice and the gas flame on all burners is a vast improvement and found we had to use lower settings. What a breeze to clean with a pipe over with warm soapy water and forget the stainless steel polish.

Originally I was very impressed with this hob and left a good review however I have now started a return and have had to order a different hob and pay an engineer to remove this one and also fit the replacement so has been very expensive!DO NOT BUY THIS HOBDespite what the instructions claim there is NO WAY of adjusting the flame by removing the dials and inserting a small screwdriver, there is not even a hole there under any of the 4 dials, even the lowest setting on the smallest burner is impossible to simmer food it just boils everything, read other reviews and you will see that I am not the only person saying this!Also it looks nice having the pans in a diamond pattern rather than the conventional pan in each corner, try fitting 4 pans on it at the same time and you will soon learn why most hobs have a burner in each corner!The pan rests do not fit well and rock and rattle.It’s very awkward to clean.And the return process involved a lengthy patronising phone call with someone from Amazon who could not seem to understand that my Gas engineer said it’s a reject, the instructions do not match the product as there is no possible way to alter the flame, the guy from Amazon just kept asking me over and over again if I had read the instructions or tried turning the dials on the hob to alter the flame (like that wasn’t the first thing I tried)Over all I have had countless engineer visits with all the disruption that causes, still have to have another engineer visit to swap to my replacement (different new hob) and I also have to pay or dispute my engineer costs with Russell Hobbs directly even though I was supplied a hob not fit for purpose.All in all my experience with Amazon customer service was patronising and very disappointing, I’m £hundreds out of pocket and I rate this hob 0.BUYER BEWARE

The product is easy to install and use. However, the flame is too high and yellow instead of blue even at the lowest and tend to black the saucepan. I tried searching youtube for how to reduced the flame but was unsuccessful.Can anyone help or advice on how to reduce the flame and get it on blue colour instead of yellow.Unfortunately, I am using it in Africa I would have returned it.

Very lovely big hob, being glass it is hard to clean and get those smear marks off, but happy with everything else

It looked cool, it was the right price, and it was a brand. However there are reasons why most hobs have their burners in a square rather than a diamond shape. The wok burner is very hot - I find it hard to control the heat on my wok-saucepan. The large burner again is very hot, even on the lowest setting it's more than a simmer! Cleaning is ok, I brought special stainless steal clear but it's has still marked. All in all I'm happy. Christmas will be the test though- will I be able to use all 4 burners!?
