Perfect fit. Looks great.
Plug and play to replace 30 year old unit. No leaks and it handles the pressure.

second time to replace this..
we full time rv in airstream classic 30 ft 2005.. over time the nipple will start to leak due to the weight of the hose on the fitting.. Now i make sure the hose is supported or I use a small bungee cord to help hold it up.. they are easy to install and works great.. I have a 45 deg adapter on when help somewhat with the pressure on the nipple..

Light duty valve
Well built but weaknesses revealed after day to day use. The install is straight forward. The valve works great but it is too flexible within the housing and gets bent with everyday use. The chrome finish is cheap chrome paint over plastic. A stainless metal version of this product would be ideal.

Quality Built
I bought this great pressure saver to replace the original one aboard my Silverton 450MY. The original one was only 50psi or there about so replacing it with this 65psi was a vast improvement. The thing I like about these fittings by Shurflo is that when the old one failed it simply locked down and didn't allow water to pass the valve so that the boat didn't fill with city water in a hurry which I'm told is about 130psi. The Installation was simple with four screws to fix it to the boat and only two hose connections, one to the plumbing aboard and the other to a hose that supplies the city water. Installation took me about 20 minutes without issue and not one leak. Very well constructed and all fittings were great which isn't always true with plumbing fittings. I couldn't be happier.

Municipal Water valve replacement
This worked well but would be better if it was chrome or stainless steel instead of chrome covered plastic. I used this to replace the one on my yacht. It does not come with screws, but I was able to use the screws from the one I replaced. The unit is just a little larger in diameter than the one I removed, so I had to enlarge the whole about 1/4” to make a flush fit. Also, the screw holes were farther apart than the old one, so I had to drill new holes. However, this is not a problem because the new hole pattern was wide enough to not interfere with the old holes, allowing the new unit to fit perfectly up and down without having to off center it. What took the longest was enlarging the whole, for which I used my multiple function tool wit a 60 grit sanding attachment. The fittings are the same size as the original. Just unscrew the old one and install the new one. If you don’t have to enlarge the hole, the replacement can be completed within 15 to 20 minutes.

Good, not Great
This water intake looks and works good, but it doesn’t age well. This is the second one I’ve installed on my houseboat in the past five years. The first one cracked in the inside and caused my boat to flood. Nothing is metallic. When the plastic cracks it leaks.
