Enesco Dr. Seuss by Jim Shore Horton Hears a Who Figurine, 5.71 Inch, Multicolor

Who in the USA hasn't read this story by Dr. Seuss? I read it to my kids until they could read it to themselves and then, years later, read it to their kids until their kids could read it to themselves. I heard they made a movie about the book. I never saw it. But, I have to say, Jim Shore sure did an outstanding job with old Horton. Looks just like him! When I glance at him sitting on the shelf, he is a pleasant reminder of bygones years, and I smile every time.

Jim Shores one of my favorite collectible to buy, I have several pieces of the Heartland Collection. I saw Horton and fell in love with him, but I think I'm a little too old to display him. I’ve been holding on to him for my granddaughter one of her Christmas gifts. Horton has all the markings of a Jim Shores piece, he's just as cute as the one in the movie and book I think cuter. He's a beautiful start of a Jim Shores collection really for any age LOL

The detail on this elephant is amazing. It fits in perfectly with my Dr. Seuss collection. This is for anyone who can keep their kids from constantly handling it! Too awesome to be a toy.
