Just SeedCourgette - Tromboncino Albenga - 20 Seeds

All the seeds I planted germinated and the plants grew well but most of the flowers were male and couldn't seem to co-ordinate with the female flowers which wasn't ideal! Sadly the little fruits fell within a couple of days of flowering and I had no crop.I do wonder if the problem was the strange summer we've had with roasting hot weather going to cold early on. I'll be planting more next year and hoping for a better result.

I germinated several seeds and chose 3 plants for my garden. Too much, as it happens, because these things grow like the very clappers! .... one can watch them grow day by day, and the fruits grow at an amazing rate. Just harvested one that was 3 feet long, and am trying different recipes ... so far, roasted in the oven with garlic is looking to become a favourite. But these are worth growing for the drama alone as they look absolutely wonderful climbing up a trellis! Perfect for the small garden as most of the growth is vertical. Would definitely grow these again.

Wow this plant has taken on a life of its own! I am SO impressed. From just seeds I have now got several well established shoots growing upwards with fruits starting to form.My one piece of advice is make sure you have the ability for these plants to grow upwards, they get very long and so going upwards will help with space saving also it allows the fruit to grow bigger. You'll need a study frame like an obelisk. Also the male flowers normally grow at the bottom and the females at the top so you may have to help it along with fertilizing the fruit. Just get a paint brush, get some pollen from the male flowers and then dust it on the female flowers. Male flowers don't have any fruit bulbs but the females do :)

Germinated well and are producing lots of strange courgettes !

Great product... Needs planting early to ensure lots of sun for the fruit. They also need good l rich well manured deep soil and plenty of watering.. I did however have some great success from potted plants but even greater success from one i transferred to a fairly deep veg patch.. I grew fast and crazy like jacks beanstalk.. Plenty of fruit on the vine 12 inches.. Maybe I could have achieved even longer and larger fruit if I had planted them earlier in spring and had set up a climbing frame for them to hang. Good fresh seed that germinated well .

Excellent rersults,very tasty when aprox 30cm in length,I let a few grow to max length and raised £15 for one that measured 5'4" (13.716CM) at a charity Auction.

Could have been the weather but did not grow. May try again next year
