Worked great, I was able to extract files from a dead computer by removing the hard drive.

Works great (so far). Built a new PC and decided to leave out an older HDD and DVD/Blu-ray drive after buying and testing this device. I had a SATA to USB connector for SSDs but didn’t realize they make 12v powered versions. Since both devices not used all the time I didn’t need an enclosure. Tested both and happy with the performance.

I was in the market to buy this for my SSD hardrive to connect to my laptop for photo/video/file use. This product worked superb when it came to connecting, transfering, and downlaoding what you need especially since it has the extra power connected to it. My only issue came when the SSD could not be detected in my files, it took a while but I need to formatt in order for it to connect to the laptop. It took me an hour to figure out which was a little fustrating since it did not come with any specific way to connect make use of the thing. If you are having problems, I recommend searching up videos like "SSD not detected" on youtube, thats how I fixed my problem. Other than that, it worked flawlessly. The product is a bit pricey concidering other competetors, but becuase of that it allows to maintain stock compared to others on amazon which are sold out. The extra price is worth since the power connecter is included to enhance performance. Quality of material is as you'd expect from $20 product. Easy way to connect SATA SSDs and laptop hard drives to a computer, and includes both USB-A and USB-C connectors. Won’t work for 3 ½” desktop drives because there is no way to connect a power source to it. But these days I don’t use many 3 ½” drives, so this does what I need.

Used this to plug a 15 year old laptop hard drive into my desktop computer to see if I had forgotten any files. At first I wasn't able to access the files, but a quick google taught me how to change the ownership of the hard drive to match it to the computer I was currently using. I did find quite a few old photos and files that I was glad I found. I should also mention that this works with the 2.5 drive that I have, but it does not work with a 3.5 drive from my old desktop. It seems that 3.5 drives need a different cable with a higher power supply. So if you’re having trouble with a drive, do some research on whether or not this cable is compatible.

One thing I should have guessed was that the AC adapter had a UK plug. I live in Sweden and consequently got a problem. This should have been informed about in the description. If this is omitted, the seller might have adapted the delivery to the country the package was sent to EU -> EU, UK -> UK etc. Had a suitable mains adapter lying around so it worked out great. Overall good quality and works great for my XBOX.
